Gratuitous profanity is not the point, but the nanny attitude of fark kind of misses the idea of self expression. Also blatant trolls get buried quickly here which makes reading a digg thread more about people talking than people grandstanding. It is a shame I used to be a farkaholic.
    Now I will get in this coffin so the fark fanboys can bury me :-)

  • jawnboy, on 03/08/2008, -0/+1I was over at http://www.bannination.com/ and wondering why it is not shown more love, their experiment with community moderation and a democratic ideal for the direction of the site seems decent. Plus the fact that they got banned by the fark nazi's and instead of whining went and started their own site in a few days.
    Typing this I just realizedm I think well of the site and I have never bothered to register, damn - just to make myself feel less stupid, I uh, I'll be right back...
