Hooray for Digg's New Recommendation Engine
diggriffic.blogspot.com — It's a much welcome chance to see what your friends are digging without clicking on their profiles, then clicking on their diggs or submissions, then clicking on the titles to get to particular Digg entries, then clicking on the titles again to get to the actual stories.

- Kbiscu1t, on 07/02/2008, -14/+7-.- For a minute I thought I was lucky enough to be one of the random that got picked, but everyone has it. I think it's great!
- zenithmbr, on 07/02/2008, -2/+24i don't have it :(
- IAmCuteKitty, on 07/02/2008, -9/+6haha

- philostrato, on 07/02/2008, -2/+2yeah, me too
- mrbbad, on 07/02/2008, -0/+24I'm not jumping for joy with it quite yet. I'm getting loads of stuff I'm totally not interested in. I could care less who is like me in digging style, I just want to see articles similar to what I've dugg in the past.
If you want to see people "like you" -- then that needs to be a separate choice.- fLUx1337, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4Yeh me too....I generally digg few stories, but only stuff I am actually interested in. But its recommending me really far off stuff....
Sure it will get better with tweaks, but at the moment I'm not too excited with it... - unitedstatians, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1One of the other main 'tweak' to address the problem with the recommendation engine's loading of stories we're totally not interested in. We should be able to get reading matches from diggers with similar sub-topics, which are currently deselected in our profile settings customized topics, we're not that into.
Would greatly improve the 'Digger like you' algorithm.

- AndrewDB, on 07/02/2008, -1/+14I don't think everyone has it yet.. because strangely enough, I'm missing it.
- Asvetic, on 07/02/2008, -5/+11BLOGSPAM!!!
- Acglaphotis, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3Not everything from blogs are blogspam you know -_-'.
- iNunchuk, on 07/02/2008, -5/+7Why is this even news.
- slyzxx, on 07/02/2008, -3/+2so much for individualism being your own person doesn`t count anymore
- xanathar, on 07/02/2008, -4/+2This engine looks to be very useful tool
- TeMerc, on 07/02/2008, -8/+17I'm f-ing sick of seeing the f-ing thing on front page every 30 minutes, enough already
- Zukunft, on 07/02/2008, -2/+1*slips a 20 under Kevin's door so he can be one of the few*
- Greengoo, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1The kind of money it would take to convince Kevin of anything doesn't fit under doors :)
- geneticlone, on 07/02/2008, -4/+2Damn it, all my matches are guys :'(
- TomPlansMedia, on 07/02/2008, -1/+5welcome to the internet

I miss my Upcoming... thats where the great conversations are.. - nthitz, on 07/02/2008, -0/+11"straight-up 2.0"
?!? Give me a ***** break.- iofthestorm, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3If I ever see that again, I think im going to go ballistic.
- TribalCouncil, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3That has to be the worst blog post about the greatest feature ever. LAME.
- peppino, on 07/02/2008, -2/+1It's nice to see diggers like me the side panel.
- adrames, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1Kevin Rose happens to be my 8th match.
- CryTekEmployee, on 07/02/2008, -8/+2HOW ABOUT CHEMISTRY.COM? IT'S ONE THING TO FIND A DIGGER TO PLAY DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS WITH, BUT WHAT ABOUT MARRYING AND MAKING FERTILIZED EMBYROS?
- tnoy, on 07/02/2008, -2/+1Ok, who else thought the two circles on the chalkboard in the thumbnail were breasts at first?
- cadmiumpaint, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Its pretty fickle. I dugg one sports story, and then I saw a whole bunch. A few mins later I dugg a Tech story and everything was about programming and IT stuff that I dont' care about.
- insomniac8400, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Top of my list is 34% then next are 15% and slowly move to 9% and I have 128 total? What do other people have?
- alexbu, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2http://digg.com/all/upcoming/recommended
- bryanwebster, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1Doesn't work
- h0ser, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1am I the only one that thinks this is a bad thing? It feels like the mainstream is getting in here and will be recommending a bunch of crappy articles to push them to the top of the list. I don't add friends on digg, i like the random nature of articles.
- HenryFatass, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2I need an RSS feed...and maybe a spot on each digger's profile showing the "Diggers like you" percentage. This way if I visit someone's profile because of a comment they made or whatever, I'll quickly be able to identify how close of a match they are to me and I'd be more likely to become their fan/friend.
- imcquill, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1An RSS feed would be awesome.
- rmeddy, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Yeah I thinks it's pretty cool,It came on for me yesterday.Well done Digg
- taikex, on 07/04/2008, -0/+0I thinks its pretty cool, it just came on for me today! :)
