chrisg.com — Keeping abreast of news in your niche can be tough. I know the feeling of being left behind, when you think you need to be checking thousands of feeds 24 hours a day. Fact is you do not need to have such a punishing regime.

- edborden, on 03/31/2008, -1/+1Great article overall, dugg, and I subscribe to this blog, but I'd have to disagree on the point about Twitter. Twitter is a mess of people saying just about anything. Many people will send multiple tweets if they can't fit everything in one shot, completely bypassing the whole point. The worst offenders are the biggest bloggers. You can't use Twitter to keep on top of the "important" stuff.
- domfosnz, on 03/31/2008, -1/+1Great tips. This is often appears to be an overwhelming task - so it is good to find ways to keep it under control. Thanks for the tips.
Have subscribed to blog to "audition it"! - perot9296, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4Digg, Yahoo Pipes and Google Reader. Plus slow days at work help, I do 99% of my blog reading and feed reading at work.

- Rotzooi, on 04/01/2008, -1/+1While the tips may be good, the planted comments here on Digg are not. HATE.
- asnider, on 04/01/2008, -1/+2I don't think they're planted. Chris (the author of the story) has a lot of loyal readers who genuinely think highly of his blog. Some of those readers are Digg users, and they voted/commented. They're no more "planted" than all of the comments made by Ron Paul fanboys every time a Ron Paul story gets dugg.
