- energyblue, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Welcome to Digg.
Keep the comments relative.
- spunquik, on 06/26/2008, -4/+56Seems like they all got fat.
- krische, on 06/26/2008, -1/+11Combination of desk job and junk food I would assume.
- megamod, on 06/26/2008, -5/+6They have enough money to not care about how much of it is spent on their eating habits.
In 2nd, 3rd world countries people don't have the same widespread obesity issue as here in the US mainly because overeating isn't only a health choice but a financial one as well. This limits not only how much they eat but also how many times they're going out and eating junk food.- Krissam, on 06/26/2008, -1/+3so because you can afford to eat you get fat?
what kind of bs is that?
i would believe my 6'4" and 180lb would disagree. - megamod, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1I don't think I said that anywhere on my statement. All I said was that when you're that well off you're not as conservative with your cash and if you ever feel like you're hungry your financial status is not something that is going to stop you from eating.
Other ways that your financial situation would impact you is that if you're not able to own a car you will be using the bus system which still requires a lot of walking. I saw this a whole lot when I went back home to Brazil. The bus stops are always packed with people.
Money doesn't necessarily turn everyone into fatties but the luxuries that are more accessible because of it sure lead you that way.
- Krissam, on 06/26/2008, -1/+3so because you can afford to eat you get fat?
- BossKey, on 06/26/2008, -0/+10That would be the rule, not the exception.
You should step on a scale in 20 years...- Baryn, on 06/26/2008, -1/+3New advances in health technology and progressive state-led programs will keep me in great shape my entire life.
- BossKey, on 06/26/2008, -0/+4Wow...technology, government management...that reply contained everything except personal responsibility for one's health!
- Baryn, on 06/26/2008, -2/+2And your reply contained everything except for sarcasm recognition YOU BLOATED, *****-STAINED CHILD
- honthraj, on 06/26/2008, -1/+0I can step on a scale now and it still says exactly what it said 20 years ago! Can I digg myself?
- HonoredMule, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1ew.
- Baryn, on 06/26/2008, -1/+3New advances in health technology and progressive state-led programs will keep me in great shape my entire life.
- westbay1, on 06/26/2008, -1/+11Look at the old photo... back row, on the left... CLASSIC!
- minorthreat, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1dude looks like a pedophile
- tuntcickle, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1orly?
- techguru2006, on 06/26/2008, -0/+14what a crappy background. where did they get this taken? Wal-Mart? Olan Mills?
- krische, on 06/26/2008, -0/+5That, and is just me or does the lighting really suck in the 'Now' picture?
- kurupttek, on 06/26/2008, -0/+55Damn Hippies nothing good will come from them!
- IglooBurner, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Bet they all smoked up.
- mywhitenoise, on 06/26/2008, -9/+4Well we're talking about Microsoft here. The kings of half-assed hardware/software.
- topgigmedia, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3The 1978 photo... Manson family?
- vinnyvenus, on 06/26/2008, -0/+25So Microsoft back in the 70's was full of hippies who later turned into ugly non-hippy business people.
- DreKor, on 06/26/2008, -0/+9When you fight the power and win, you become the power. Then somebody has to fight you.
- waztinaz, on 06/26/2008, -4/+5What's Ross from Friends doing there?
- saltinekracka20, on 06/26/2008, -0/+15Why are all the bearded guys on the right? Some kind of beard gang I suppose.
- DrunkenDigger, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3gotta have a beard!! it's the programmer dress code: http://www.codethinked.com/post/2007/12/The-Progra ...
- krische, on 06/26/2008, -0/+30If you read the real article. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7474107.stm
Just about everyone except for gates left in the early 80's. - scheibs14, on 06/26/2008, -1/+8Maybe I'm just dumb, but when these blogs say "....after the break" the "...." they are talking about is right underneath that. WTF?
- silentdragoon, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3They are doing that for the benefit of those who are reading the blog as a whole -- there, you must click on a link to read the full story; this is their way of telling you that there is more content available.
- leamanc, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3Or, often they have placed an ad in between paragraphs. If you use Firefox+Adblock, it seems a little strange seeing "after the jump" or "after the break," but nothing to break it up. :-)
- BossKey, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Usually because there is an ad in that space, but if you are running an ad blocker, you won't see the ad that "the break" refers to.
- Smashure, on 06/26/2008, -2/+2they're missing joints in the old picture
- xero69, on 06/26/2008, -1/+8Real article here
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7474107.stm - dcollins, on 06/26/2008, -12/+5Digg has become the Microsoft RSS feed in the last week.
- Ryan2845, on 06/26/2008, -2/+18Well, it is the Apple RSS feed the other 51 weeks. Can't MS have just one?
- cesclaveria, on 06/26/2008, -0/+4it is because something interesting is happening at MS, not everyday someone like Bill Gates retires.
- Mafuzzy, on 06/26/2008, -7/+0Ooooo, this was on a T.V program!
- dnields, on 06/26/2008, -12/+4"Thirty years on from the taking of the original photograph, the Microsoft staff who worked at Albuquerque were reunited to recreate the photograph......Bob Wallace Left Microsoft in 1983. Died in 2002."
I think it's great that the dead guy could make it to the photoshoot in 2008.- wolferz, on 06/26/2008, -2/+5You're not very good at reading are you? Or counting for that matter...
- dnields, on 06/26/2008, -1/+3I can read rather well. Yes, the link provided says that the deceased was not part of the photoshoot. However, if you read the actual article and take a look at the poor placement and layout of the page, it would lead some to believe he was resurrected from the dead for the shoot. (see link- http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/dnields/Un ... )
Way to ruin an attempt at humor, *****.- Chebsi, on 06/26/2008, -1/+2Way to ruin humour.
- wolferz, on 06/26/2008, -2/+1@simplymad
I'm not arguing. I'm making tongue-in-cheek sarcastic comments. *shrugs*
His comment also didn't seem very humorous to me... but then I'm guessing based on the response that my comment didn't seem very humorous ether... oh well.

- readme, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3Then looks like a shot from The Devil's Rejects.
- leerayIG88, on 06/26/2008, -2/+5It's the Brady Bunch!
- ILoveBoobies, on 06/26/2008, -3/+4Right place at the right time.
- cableguy84, on 06/26/2008, -5/+1buried for being a day late, this was on /. a day or two ago!

- Jmn187, on 06/26/2008, -9/+5And windows still sucks 90% of the time. Except when im playing games.
- IronDonut, on 06/26/2008, -1/+1I wonder what the aggregate net worth of that group is. Probably larger than some small countries.
- enderklein, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Probably... lets see...

- enderklein, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Probably... lets see...
- tacogrl, on 06/26/2008, -4/+0and out of all these people the only one that anybody knows and cares about is Bill Gates.
- Rudegar, on 06/26/2008, -0/+0maybe their families care?
kinda hope for their sakes they do
- Rudegar, on 06/26/2008, -0/+0maybe their families care?
- enderklein, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1I want Wood's shirt!
- falafelkiosken, on 06/26/2008, -0/+5Paul Allen actually looks younger now
- onlyclave, on 06/26/2008, -1/+8You guys are giving them ***** because it's Microsoft but those people were all friends when the first picture was taken and they are probably all friends now. You know that Bill Gates has changed your life more than anyone else you can think of and this picture looks like they are giving their old friend a happy farewell.
I think that's a great statement. - neko6, on 06/26/2008, -0/+51. Get facial hair
2. Change name to Bob
3. ?????
4. Profit!- donkeySays, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Bob had bitch *****.
- jetblackz4, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Looks like they have been eating well.
- Andrwmorph, on 06/26/2008, -0/+10They should all be holding giant bags of money in the second picture.
- gllopc, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1I always thought that if you weren't attractive, then lots of money could still make you hot. But now I realize - no.
- qhiiyr, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2I love how Gates has pretty much the same haircut minus some extra shag.
- MtheoryX, on 06/26/2008, -2/+2Interesting, but buried for "after the break."
- jrattner1, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3I always knew Gates was a stoner
- jellygraph, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1All of them, minus Bob Wallace Rest in Peace
- lafan313, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Holy Ho-Hos Greenberg!
- cameltoenail, on 06/26/2008, -1/+0Cool photo, reminds me of the Olan Mills and Sears family portraits that were posted on Digg a few months ago.
Its funny how hated Bill Gates is by the general public. 100 years from now he will be considered a philanthropist of the highest order. - MisterKen, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3How did Gates do that? Hire people uglier than himself.
Genius. - beesaretasty, on 06/26/2008, -0/+0With a head like that, I can see how they came up with the idea of Cabbage Patch Dolls. No wait. I got that confused with Garbage Pail Kids. I always do that. Either way, he's rich so what does he care.
- solid12345, on 06/26/2008, -1/+1Neeeerds!
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d143/SkidsEXE/OG ... - ghall, on 06/26/2008, -1/+1And Bill Gates still looks like a girl.
- overridemymind, on 06/26/2008, -0/+0Is that the Imperial March I hear?
Reminds me of the newer Star Wars movies -- here we get to see the beginnings of an evil empire. - grahamboree, on 06/26/2008, -0/+0Bill looks like he's 12 lol
- setec, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Not Dugg. Next time, don't link to Engadget, just link to the actual story.
- roarus, on 06/28/2008, -0/+111 in before, 10 in after photo. So one of them turned into hollow man?
