Myspace blocks the letter "i"

mashable.com — This is just bizarre: MySpace has started to filter out the letter “i” on MySpace blogs - all of them. No matter where the letter “i” appears in a word or sentence, it gets replaced with “..”. The only place where an “i” can be used is in the title of a post.

        The choices you make and therefore your "self" is heavily restricted by the society and time one finds oneself in. I cannot chose to be a time traveler, since time travel has yet to be invented. Nor can I chose to be Pharaoh of all Egypt, since I find myself in a society that doesn't allow for such things.

        You are just as much a part of the society you're in and cannot remove yourself from that role as you are a free agent.

    • 83457, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13They were at a ColdFusion conference a couple years ago as part of a case study and promotion for a alternative ColdFusion server that could run on .Net (versus the current Java or old C++ versions). It was obvious from some of the comments that they weren't exactly following good development practices. I believe they told some stories about throwing up updates dozens of times a day but if things broke a flash game would be made available to members of the site which they could play until the problem was fixed. Also something about moving to another room in a data center and it being a complete disaster.

      @mrgoat: Because I am in the typical demographic for myspace users and my friends "forced me" to make a myspace account. I guess you can say I was "myspace raped."
