      • JustADude, on 12/25/2007, -1/+13During his fill-in periods when Robert and Patrick were out, and indeed during the first few episodes as regular host, I'd have agreed with you - but I think at this point that he's really quite a solid host, and I enjoy him thoroughly. He's smart, witty, and a little sarcastic. That didn't really shine through at first, but I really think highly of him now. I wish him the best at Tekzilla.

        whatever happens robert heron will land on his feet. he's a top notch presenter. a man like him should be leading a show anyway, not playing support.

Roger seems like a nice guy, kinda knows his tech, but can't speak a single sentence without stumbling over his words. Would of prefered it if they dragged Robert over to Tekzilla instead. Tekzilla have some great shows and very professionally put together. I'm hoping they keep Roger behind the cameras.

I actually like audio podcast better than video podcasts, because I can do other thing while I'm listening to them. TWIT and Macbreak Weekly are two of my favorite audio podcast.

      Don't get me wrong though, Revision3 is awesome too, but I like some variation.

Assuming they are competing to some degree with Tekzilla: Heron is good, and Belmont beats Corbin like a drum in terms of tech knowledge (while being damn easy on the eyes). Go all out, or hang it up.

    Between TWiT, DL.tv, and Rev3 it's getting old hearing so much overlapping tech news. But they still beat most other podcasts out there.

They can do whatever they want, and produce the shows they want to produce. They are in charge of their own network... not a big corporation. They don't have to conform to the rigid requirements of television... they just do what they do.

        Plus, you can download HD episodes, or iPod episodes... you can't do that with television. I wish there were more media companies like Rev3.

    No one in tech can suck the life out of a netcast as thoroughly as Chang.

    Only thing I find more annoying than him in tech are the eye candy bimbos (i can find breasts online on my own).

    I am big Robert Heron fan and couldnt deal with the annoying Chang anymore and stopped watching DLTV soon after Norton left, so Im thrilled Ill be able to watch/listen DL.TV again.

    I just listened to the last TWIT as well as one a few shows back with Tom Merritt and as much as the Merritt episode was fun, the last one was just painful to listen to.

I couldn't stand Roger talking, with all his stumbling and whatnot. Good riddance.

I would have preferred to see Robert Heron reunited with Patrick. Robert's really grown in front of the camera - I would like to see him make his way to over to Revision3. Maybe Robert Heron could turn DL.TV into a more in-depth tech show. Heron is a genius compared to Chang or Norton, he actually UNDERSTANDS tech instead of just being interested in it. I love when he goes off on people who run software firewalls and antivirus software on their home machines. I think he could turn DL.TV into the best tech show out there.

Patrick and Robert were never equally yoked in terms of technical knowledge and on camera charisma. If he moves to Rev3 next, I hope its behind the camera. Patrick needs to anchor solo or be paired again with Leo Laporte.

    Seems like cranky geeks is the best the ziff guys have to offer, and that is not really good tech info, just fun crankiness.
  • kevnaca, on 12/25/2007, -0/+1I've just noticed that Cnet aired a Tekzilla segment recently. Rev 3 is getting so close to Techtv 2.0! I would be so happy to see an actual return of a tech channel. If not, having an IPTV like stream on Rev 3 would be totally awesome.
