- Jakerius, on 10/12/2007, -2/+45I've been using ScrapeTorrent since it was launched. It's a great service.
- chemam, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Same here, works great! The improvements are truly remarkable
- beelz, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3another good one
http://torrentscan.com - allyant, on 10/12/2007, -10/+2All these kind of sites are just copying torrentz.com, But this site does look very nice!
- Lyanto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Sweet, a less ugly version of Torrentz.
- holydope, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2You should really try Bit Che.
http://www.convivea.com/product.php?id=2 - TomP, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I'm donating :)
- adamsucks, on 10/12/2007, -14/+9ScrapeTorrent is great.. but nothing will ever match up to TorrentHarvester (windows app)
(sorry for plugging my digg, but I want to get this out in the open)
http://digg.com/software/Torrent_Harvester_EXCELLENT_bittorrent_search_aggregator_for_Windows - hankyone, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2try this one http://www.fulltorrent.net/
- mightymouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is gonna be a bitch to add to xtorrent.
- adamsucks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Before you digg me down for my post above... torrent harvester searches over 180 torrent sites and lists all the results in a nice organized and sortable list. For most sites, you can just right click the torrent and click download, and it automatically loads it up in your default torrent client.
Check it out. I seriously use it on a daily basis.. and it's really good for finding hard-to-find stuff. - positivepeace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1www.diggtorrents.com uses Google power to search across a lot of diverse torrent sites
- rkiga, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i liked the old scrapetorrent a lot more. torrentspy has 80% of the torrents i need and usually has good comments so it was naturally best at the top of the page in its own section. now scrapetorrent 2.0 mixes all the torrents together with no labels.
sounds like scrapetorrent is now a cheap fulltorrent.net imitation. the ajax is conter-productive too. i'm sure somebody likes the idea of having no choice but to view an external page in a tiny 300px height ajax frame, but that's not me.
this long time scrapetorrent user is now switching to fulltorrent.net - bg86, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0rkiga,
From behalf of digg.com, all scrapetorrent users, and humanity.
You are a ***** moron. There is a preference page that lets you decide the type of linking you like.
Please, please commit suicide.
- mogden, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2too bad we cant CLICK RESULTS YET.
- pastasauce, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2Yes, because I need to get some non-pirated software...
- pastasauce, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2YAY WE CAN CLICK THEM!
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5your welcome ;)
- television, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@mogden
remember to allow scripts ;) - holydope, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6burry
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2my bad :)
- mogden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16The duplicates filter could use some work.
Porn filter works good though. Maybe you could..uhh.. make it work the other way too? :D
I like the cute little ajax iframe that comes up when you click on torrents now. Very slick.
I give 2.0 the mogden mark of approval.- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Duplicate torrent filter compares name and file size. I can't think of any other way. Comparing by size only would work great but you run the risk of removing the wrong things.
- Stonedonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14"Duplicate torrent filter compares name and file size. I can't think of any other way."
Hash sums. - bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hash sums aren't visible in the results of a torrent search at any site I've ever visited, so it'd mean digging into the page of every single result and looking at it.
It'd work with an infinite amount of servers, sure.

- RofluX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Definetly Dugg!
Brian has done a great job with scrapetorrent, it is by far my favourite torrent website atm. How's the hosting going man? You still with dreamhost? You should move to a dedicated VPS if your not already.
Peace!- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7income is less than what a dedicated costs.
- cubee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice, its got My favorite Torrent sites, All in one. prefect!
- bawpcwpn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Looking slick! Would be nice to be able to sort via host site i.e Mininova, Torrentspy etc.
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I've had friends try and argue that sorting by site is a good idea. I can't fathom why it'd be of any use whatsoever.
- cmscott, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It's not a big deal for music downloading, but i learned today that when i want to download a movie i'd rather know which results are from torrentspy so i can read the comments on audio and video quality, etc. that the other torrent sites dont have.
- aynrand, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It looks like a perfect copy of isohunt now.
Having the results from each site listed separately made ScrapeTorrent unique.
I think it was the pleasant feeling of being sure not to miss something, that an independent search on one of these sites would have shown. The only site missing was demonoid. Would it be hard to integrate it?
- dslartoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dugg. I discovered ScrapeTorrent a few months back and have used it to find several things.
- DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -2/+3Dugg. I also use a similar service called TorrentScan.com, which searches all the top torrent sites with a nice little radio button menu.
- ASoggyWaffle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5nice, but i would like an option to separate the results by site like you could do before
- foxhaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice. I could use this.
- over9000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I actually prefer the way it listed results from different engines in different tables. Now it just mashes everything up.
- over9000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Also, it says
>A total of 8 searcable sites. (to start!)
But there are only 5?? - Krettis, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Doesn't look en feel solid enough. No AJAX either. I buried it.
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Since when did something HAVE to have AJAX to be a good service? Does the Google web search on its homepage have any AJAX?
- crazybrit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow. Did you try actually using the site, per chance?
- waahooo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Looks like an upgraded version of IsoHunt. I like.
- allyant, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Brian you never returned to torrentspy forums were you were advertising your site from the very start?
- thestorey, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2I am Brian Storey!!! I shal dig you up for the use of half my name.
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0allyant, the topic was closed for some odd reason.
- squirrelza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now I know what it's like for a dupe of your article to hit the front page haha. Anyways, ScrapeTorrent is the best site by far. I wish it could search Demonoid too though
- miyamotofreak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ mightmouse:
to add to Xtorrent use the url:
http://scrapetorrent.com/index.php?search=%@
@squirrelza: It can if you donate. In fact demonoid, torrentportal, btjunkie and bushtorrent are all added.

- hessian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Firefox search plugin for Scrapetorrent
http://www.scrapetorrent.com/Stuff/ - dusco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1they better enjoy them google ads as long as they can ;p
- moyness, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I Personally think Beta2, while having lots of features, bells and whistles, is awfully a lot different from the scrapetorrent we've (me atleast) learned to love.. the old one was simpler, Faster, and has better sorting (which I don't understand why they didn't implement sort by site it was from)
Maybe 2.0beta is for some people, definitely not for me, specially when I search on my firefox plugin, press enter and to be required to click a dozen check boxes before I can do my search.....- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The features only make ScrapeTorrent more useful. They aren't seat warmers and cup holders, but new tires an oil change, and the addition of headlights. The new ScrapeTorrent is faster. If it happened to be any bit slow it's because of the load digg is putting on it.
Just because ScrapeTorrent has more check boxes doesn't mean it's not any less simple than it was before. It's much more intuitive, quicker, and simpler to use. If you disagree it's because you have half a brain :) or hate change regardless if it's for the better or worse.
For those of you who are having the problem he seems to be having with the search plugin, it's because you have the older version. Get the new one on the "Stuff" page

- crazybrit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Filter by porn? Classy.
- deedas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was refreshing every 5 minutes all night long last night. Very disappointed. I do not like this new version at all.
- TheJosher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice.
If you're looking for a standalone program that does the same kind of thing, try Bit Che. http://www.convivea.com/product.php?id=2
It searches quite a bit more sites (including private sites) too. - Brickster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3If his server goes down because of DIGG I'm going to be SO pissed off.
- Spazkake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I liked it simple.
- kasted, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1they need to clean up there URL's
- swoopdog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2um
http://www.fulltorrent.net/
just saying.- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0FullTorrent is a clone and will never ever match the quality of ScrapeTorrent. It's just not going to happen.
- otaleks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2scrape torrent is awsome
i like bt junkie though - nuxrl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice. Dugg
- jon02129, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've been using TorrentScan for as long as i can remember.
http://www.torrentscan.com
Though, TorrentScan doesn't list results from all sites in one listing. I may be switching. - Mutal1sk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sweet works great
- brentis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I finally noticed they included a porn filtering option. This is really what I've been looking for, I hate getting all that superfluous non-porn, when I'm "on task".
- tobster85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1anyone ever use:
www.btmon.com
(BitTorrent Monster)
Btmon.com is a superindex. They index: mininova.org, thepiratebay.org, torrentspy.com, demonoid.com, isohunt.com, fulldls.com, bushtorrent.com, torrentportal.com, meganova.org, torrentbox.com, snarf-it.org, mybittorrent.com, newtorrents.info, piratenova.com, fenopy.com and more then 5k regular trackers. - bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't understand why people would want to know which site the torrent result is coming from other than the resulting pages' comments. If you can provide a legitimate argument otherwise, please do so. It was only done so in the older ScrapeTorrent because it wasn't capable of compiling a single list. I could easily provide a preference to show a logo of the result site but to be honest, I don't see why the pretty little icon would prove useful for any other reason than being pretty.
The PORN FILTER FILTERS OUT the porn. It could be useful for the opposite reason, but you'd be better off stopping by empornium to get your daily toss.- facefront, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ooh, that's a great idea. add empornium to the list. it'll go great with the new porn filtering option.
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dude, I can't explain to you how much I enjoy seeing 2 dudes pull each other off.
- Cmanslider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dude make it to where it adds porno.com/2dudesononlyonecock as ones of the sites searched so I can Toss out for hours.
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sometimes I like to fill a celluloid baggie with a 3:1 mix of Raid bug spray and club soda, shove it up my ass, and when it kicks in go toss out in an abandoned trailer until I fall asleep.
- fashistt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0perfect! a good search site for bittorrent!
FeellaaN - BocoDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can someone explain why I'd want to use this over Torrentz, aside from aesthetic purposes? (honest question, not sarcastic)
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To get up-to-date torrent results instead of relying on a service that has crawler and indexing delays.
The same reason why you don't search for recent news using google. (not news.google.com)
- bg86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To get up-to-date torrent results instead of relying on a service that has crawler and indexing delays.
- Cmanslider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0because it allows you to shove off to tons of porno with the new porn filter that filters in all the porno. Torrentz cant do that, cuz they are females...with periods that attract bears, so they obviously don't know what it's like to slam out until you fall asleep.
- RdeK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Mmm, I prefer fulltorrent to be honest...
No offense, but what's up with all that donate stuff these days...
