Service restored after unrelated outages- In Chicago Area

nwherald.com — Some people lost Internet and cellular-phone service Wednesday in two apparently unrelated incidents. Verizon customers throughout the northwest suburbs lost service from 9 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday after fiber optic lines were cut in Northbrook and along the Wisconsin border near Gurnee, Verizon spokeswoman Carolyn Schamberger said.
