The dream app we have all been waiting for?
collegev2.com — In a word: yes. This is as close to my dream application for college students as I think I am going to find. The note taking feature is solid with everything you would expect and a little more, and features such as RSS feeds and iCal support just top it off.

- pwill, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1I had NEVER heard of this, but my friend and I just created a Wiki, sorta like this, for note-taking and organizing for students at our high school. http://www.cahsmic.com
- benggg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1http://www.notetango.com is better.
- catholicismwow, on 10/12/2007, -4/+57It comes pretty close, but how can you have a 'dream app' without an embedded porn search option?
- greatcaffeine, on 10/12/2007, -14/+6Damn right.
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -2/+53They're saving that for the Wet Dream App.
- crimes, on 10/12/2007, -20/+4In before "don't link to blogs" whining
- Sanchez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18It's a perfectly valid whine. If people didn't submit so many ***** blogs we would have hardly any dupes and they usually go down if they get front paged anyway.
- gregmo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11It was a review of it, not a link to another blog post to the real site.
- trigger0219, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I hate blog posts like that too, esp if they don't add content to the main link. In which case the nice summary or a quick post you make suffice. they want traffic, thinking that we are actually going to consistently read their half assed content stealing blog everyday.
- Blandanomics, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Im the author of the blog (I didn't digg this) and I assure you, I steal nobodys content. I linked to mynoteIT several times.
And if you think the blog is *****...well...sorry. - Hardcase, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I was gonna look at your blog, but I guess you have a pretty stunning bill now.
- Arrowleaf, on 10/12/2007, -9/+0Yes, this looks very interesting. I've been looking for something would help me organize my notes for some time. Have you seen this app? http://www.trailfire.com You can add notes to web pages and organize related pages into something they call trails.
- seinman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13That's all fine and dandy, if you have internet access in all your classes. If not... what's the point of an online note taking app?
- chicagobiker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah really, what's with this web based shiat? I want my stuff on my computer, not on some server somewhere out on teh internets. I don't get this, why would I trust some anonymous third party to host my crap when I have a 120Gb hard disk on my computer.
- pacdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Because when you have a bunch of labs, a bunch of friends, a PC-based school and a mac in your room, and a lost flash drive, having your notes on the web? Kinda help a lot.
- seinman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ pacdude
I agree. However, it's only useful with a good internet connection, and if you trust them to safely store your notes. I think a better implementation would be an offline application (cross platform of course) that can sync with the online application. Write notes offline, upload them to the site when you're back on a network, log into the website in labs to access it all, but have a local copy on your computer for backup. Is anyone working on something like that?
- pureliquidhw, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I'll give google a few more months before I adopt something other than their calendar/mail/spreadsheet/word processor. they are all beautiful apps and just need a bit of synergy to mesh into the ultimate life controller.
- burgerboy06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5ummm, why can't i import notes i take in word, or something, that would be kick ass, i have been a member for a few months, and i have not used it, cuz i would rather use word, or DarkRoom.
- effektz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You can, very easily too.
- j00fek, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4lol already dead =]
- tinkafoo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I love it.

- Daniel8802, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1wow this looks awesome ... gonna have to wait a lil while for the traffic flow to slow down lol!
- zbilly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4what would be even cooler, would be an offline application that can connect to the internet, and has tablet pc functionality
- spadin, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3yuck, I forgot how ugly the Windows interface was.
- ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Looks too "Web 1.0" for my tastes... ;)
- Eraser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks decent... if it becomes widespread it may be more effective, but until then Microsoft OneNote does everything I need it to do.
- Randinn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7The title is inaccurate, it's not my dream app, I haven't been to college in years...
- Bokista, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Legit point. You could probably make use of it at work, but it's supposed to be for college students. I would have been all over this last year... but I graduated, so it's not worth much to me right now. Grad school, perhaps?
- ePlus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Does it do your homework for you?
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Why go to school if you don't want to do the work?
- ePlus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I forgot to close my comment with "".

Duh.. booze and bitches.
- insanemike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Uh-oh. Looks like he needs to give GoDaddy more money.
- veniv, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0the interface looks neat..nice one to organize notes. The following one is nice to organize pictures without ever losing the original files: http://www.sleektools.net/sleekview.html
- thefoxtrot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1why didn't they have this kind of thing when i was in college... 3 years ago.
- superdoug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The main link is broken (suspended), but here it is http://mynoteit.com/ .
Nice note taking app online. - peerk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3This is spam.
Hey Effektz, how many times are you going to post stories about mynoteit? I think 8 times in the last month is enough.- effektz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1is it my fault the community likes it?
- peerk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"is it my fault the community likes it?"
If that is the case leave it up to other diggers to submit it. Seriously, you have probably submitted at least 100 stories about your software.
- bennypowers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One major thing that all these amazing new note taking apps are missing is a quick formatting syntax.
Authors get caught up in the feature rush and forget that we need to take notes quickly and legibly, now. - Kev1000000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3You do realize that google has their own online notebook software right?
http://www.google.com/notebook/- psylence, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow, you can create text areas dynamically, AND save them! What will Google think of next!
- streetlamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This looks like a really amazing app and I have been looking for something far better to take notes with other than Word for OS X however I do not have wifi in all of my classes. So this presents a problem.
- CaptainKrontos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just take them down and then copy them to the app when you get back on the net.
- evilspoons, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Does it support equations with a reasonably simple syntax? (Or at all?) No? Yet another strike out for note taking programs for engineers.
- yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh snap. the true dream app would be a paper that can connect to the internet.
- macnewbold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It doesn't try to do everything that mynoteit attempts, but I think it does a much better job of orgainizing your homework. Mynoteit will keep track of assignments on a calendar for you, but http://www.gradefix.com/ will schedule time for you to work on each assignment, making sure you start early enough to get everything done on time. It also spreads out your studying for tests, so that you have better retention and better scores.
