This is why I love the tech industry…
scobleizer.com — ...once in a while, something will happen that ’ll snap you out of the World Wide High School and remind you that this industry does, indeed, create cool stuff that makes our lives more productive and interesting. Well, actually, for me, that happens very often because I have a front-row-seat on this industry and get to see tons of interesting stuff

- mazorex, on 05/24/2008, -2/+0Here’s what this post tells me:
* There is 35 minutes of video that you think I should see.
*It involves a guy from MS’ Surface group showing tech and answering questions.
*It isn’t the World Wide High School.
*It’s cool and I should tell everyone to see it.
But … err … what’s missing is the part where you say what makes it so cool that I should see it.
I’m not trying to jump down your throat here, but a little descriptiveness would really help. 35 minutes is a bit of a commitment, and lots of people want me to watch their cool videos. - scobleizer, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2Mazorex: I already answered you in the comments over on my blog. This is the guy who invented Microsoft's Surface device. It's some of the coolest demos you'll see, and you'll hear all about what he's working on and thinking about.
- dotlizard, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2the MS surface is the closest thing right now to that really cool database searching thing they did on Minority Report. and as far as i'm concerned, the sooner we can get to such an interface, the better. at least the cooler.
- LaLaFuFu, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1What if that interface was "ad driven"? Woudl you still want it? ;)
- dotlizard, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2ok. the applications they've shown including, commercial, have all been awesome. of course these things will be monetized. but. don't you like to spend money in places where the spending interface is really, really nice? i know i do.
- Skizzlizzit, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2I'm becoming a bigger and bigger Robert Scoble fan as the days go by.
- dotlizard, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1totally. i admire his commitment to stay connected to the community.
