      The episode just after he died is beautiful. They didn't ignore it. That oddball "ensemble" cast still ranks as the best ever - it just worked...

    Major omission: The Brasky Bunch.

    "Bill Brasky used to walk his pet cobra through the park on a leash. He named the cobra Beverly and he taught it how to fetch and dial a phone. But then one day it bit the maid. So with tears in his eyes Brasky had to shoot the maid."

      The original 70s cast was talented but had a lot of ***** sketches, the mid-80s were awful, the late 80s/early-mid 90s was phenomenal with a few ***** sketches thrown in there, and the late 90s began a downward spiral that we're still in with only a few bright spots (Tina Fey's weekend update, Amy Poehler, arguably Will Farrell, etc).

      Wonder what happens if it gets good again someday.

        Though my favorite is late 80's/early-mid 90's, but that's when I watched.

        I gave up on 'the new cast' of the mid-late 90's - the cheerleaders nor Mary-catherine gallagher did anything for me.
