- overridemymind, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4DAMMIT! Who typed a question mark on the prompter!? How many times do I have to tell you? Anything you put on that prompter Hunter WILL READ.
- homesqua, on 06/28/2008, -5/+4Let's honor his death with the longest Anchorman quote thread ever!!! eh.. maybe not.
- snareguy17, on 06/28/2008, -1/+27"Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina. "
- fatTJ, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3Actually, I don't know what it means. I don't think anybody does. Experts say it was lost in translation thousands of years ago.
- tehseanzor, on 06/28/2008, -1/+2Doesn't it mean saint diego?
- kevman459, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1When in Rome...
- fatTJ, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3Actually, I don't know what it means. I don't think anybody does. Experts say it was lost in translation thousands of years ago.
- paranoid614, on 06/28/2008, -2/+4His wife calls a sex therapist then later dies of a non-homicidal "self-inflicted gunshot wound?" what kind of hanky panky was he into???
- mrloco, on 06/28/2008, -2/+1"It's an optical illusion!"
- ZachYost, on 06/28/2008, -4/+1If William Turner IV wasn't frozen in a cyrogenic chamber, I might be a little more saddened by Hunter's unfortunate death. However, when Turner is unfrozen, we'll have him to give us news like he did in the golden years. Anyone else remember that time he decided to go live to Afghanistan and broadcasted that video of those...well you all remember what i'm talking about hehe. Though Ron Hunter also had his moments... like that time he said "F-You, San Diego" (because he was forced to read what the teleprompter wrote). I still think that bitch wife of his wrote that...she'll do anything to stay on top, if you know what i mean...no but really besides all that ***** with the teleprompt and all Hunter was a great man and will be remembered as a king among men. Stay cool, L Ron Hunter!
- VacantThoughts, on 06/28/2008, -0/+7Wow, you're really into news anchors.
- dafragsta, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4They're kind of a big deal.

- cvindustries, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4being over 70, like McCain.
- chokeaduck, on 06/28/2008, -0/+8He died of pure unadulterated awesomeness.
- SillyDigger, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4In the past Will Farrell said the character was based on reporter Harold Green who worked in San Diego in the 70's
- kevman459, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3And the article never mentions the Anchorman connection.
- lecturethis, on 06/28/2008, -10/+2Baxter, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

4,001. 4,002. 4,003. - chrgrose, on 06/28/2008, -2/+9I almost had a heart attack because I thought the "real life Ron Burgundy" was a reference to Will Farrell. Sad to hear about Ron Hunter, though.
- Dorepoll, on 06/28/2008, -1/+8You thought Will Farrell was 70?
- chrgrose, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1no. it was a rather quick flash of horror until the 70 and name Ron Hunter absolved the confusion.
Joe bless Will Farrell.
- chrgrose, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1no. it was a rather quick flash of horror until the 70 and name Ron Hunter absolved the confusion.

- nico623, on 06/28/2008, -4/+1Are not all newscasters doucebags ? Thats why we praise the written word HST for the win !!
- rz8472, on 06/28/2008, -2/+3I was hoping the "other" Ted Baxter - Bill O'Reilly - would bite the dust first.
- mal1964, on 06/28/2008, -1/+3 "Good night and good news"
- livejamie, on 06/28/2008, -1/+1Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I've just been handed a urgent and horrifying news story, and I need all of you, to stop what you're doing and listen. Cannonball!
- YoWhatDaFuxUp, on 06/28/2008, -3/+9Anchor Man was based off a true story????????
- mattie47, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5It says it is in the first few seconds of the movie...
- marinebro0306, on 06/28/2008, -2/+1I seriously thought this was the male porn star the first 3 times I read the headline.
- Jeff187342, on 06/28/2008, -2/+1I'M TRAPPED IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION

- Wakkyweed, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5It didn't mention anything about the gang wars with other TV stations...
- tappat13, on 06/28/2008, -1/+1".. While wearing Sex Panther, he allegedly welcomed his wife to the Gun Show..."
- anthree, on 06/28/2008, -1/+0Arrrrghhhhh milk was a bad choice!
- bshensky, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3No discussion thread of pompous newsmasters is complete without mention of Bill Bonds, who anchored WXYZ-TV in the 70's and 80's.
Just search "Bill Bonds goes nuts" on YouTube to see what I mean.
We miss ya, Bill.- FIREMILLEN, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1don't forget all the drunk driving arrests.
- aserer511, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4His coffin smells of leather and mahogany.
- samard2002, on 06/28/2008, -0/+2I'm not reading anything in the article that backs up their headline. It' s just an overly-nice obituary about a guy who lived a pretty typical life. Had some success, had some failures, worked with some people who went on to bigger things, died.
- roastedbagel, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4RIP Ron Hunter....You will be missed?
- RMSzero, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5This article needed youtube clips.
