blog.bookingbuddy.com — In case you've been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, let me get you up to speed on some big airline news: Delta and Northwest have agreed to merge, thus creating the world's largest airline. In honor of the day's news, I think it's worth listing off the five greatest mergers of all time

- aaylasecura, on 04/16/2008, -2/+0Uh.. Interesting title and concept so I clicked on it but was a bit disappointed to not see what I hoped for (company mergers like that of Northwest and Delta). Latest update I think is that government already approved the merger.
- VSLOATHE, on 04/16/2008, -0/+3Dugg for the lulz.
- ccolec, on 04/16/2008, -0/+2But it's the top 5 mergers of ALL TIME. You really wanted to see an article about Daimler and Chrysler?!?!
- CuttySark07, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1I think the Minotaur should have at least made the top three. I mean, losing out to the Twinkie-Wiener Sandwich?! Robbed!
- tetsuoshimapmfe, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1Dugg for the potential of merging #5 and #3.
- cheekyfortwo, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1One airline to rule them all!
- Gurette, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1Seriously, why is brinner not #1?!
- dmagoo, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1I second Gurette.
- ballblogs, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1mmmm....pancakes...for dinner....
- gortonfisherman, on 04/16/2008, -0/+2Taking the Weird Al influence one step further, how about the union of prime time game shows and fish?
- perkiset, on 04/16/2008, -0/+0Airlines just piss me off. I've sold their tickets and worked with them for 18 years and they just suck. WGAF @ the merger... it'll just make is so that they are less efficient, cost more and still provide crappy service. Grrrr.
- pjdscott, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1Great article/Digg - but fasten your seatbelts for the Microsoft-Yahoo merger...
- prakashpv, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1good
- Snomadd, on 04/16/2008, -0/+0I think the Twinkie-dog may be right up there with fluffernutter sandwiches, except of course that fluffernutters aren't made with processed meat. Still, talk about a sandwich combo made in sugar heaven. And if you need to add some indistinguishable animal by-product, you can always throw a slice of spam on it.
