Inflammatory Republican rallies raise concerns

Comment in News (3 diggs, 0 replies) - on 10/10/2008
Housewarmer: The issue isn't that they're making the same decisions all the time (if they did, then there would be nothing either side could advertise themselves as being better on as compared to the other candidate). The issue is that they are part of … (see comment)

Who cares? Einstein made plenty of blunders in his lifetime. He is not infallible and certainly not worthy of the excess praise given to him. (see comment)

Liberal politics are to blame for US mortgage meltdown

WND is just paraphrasing and quoting from an economics professor, so I'm not quite sure what your point is. I guess name calling is easier than debate. (see comment)

"disenfranchised" is a moralistic buzzword, so I'm not quite sure what your point is. The civil rights movement was entirely about morality, so you're quite wrong. (see comment)

Your New Tires Could Be Six-Year Old Death Traps

You didn't read my post, did you? Read the first paragraph again: How does this help the idiot who buys crappy old tires and has a tread separation at 70mph on a city freeway and subsequently causes a major accident with other vehicles? Your right to m … (see comment)

If the tires are unsafe to drive, then its a public hazard. I don't care if you're poor or have an old car. Having a blowout or tread separation at 70mph on a crowded freeway has a good chance of killing people - not just the occupants of that car. I'm n … (see comment)

I don't want the government to hold my hand at the grocery store. I just want them to make sure that there are processes in place to ensure that my food is safe. Have you ever read Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle"? Picking out the grocery store as an exampl … (see comment)

Tires don't have an expiration date. That is the whole point of this story. Tire manufacture and sales were never regulated to begin with (as far as tire age, anyway), so they are not "deregulated". (see comment)

Matthew Bumpus just died for a Government that abandoned him

Please. Its not example of WMD's. Iraq did at one point have a chemical warfare program, but they shut that down under UN supervision. A lot of the old stuff is sealed and stored away like this. Given that we forcibly uprooted the Iraqi government, of c … (see comment)

Wait, when the government denies you treatment for illness you incurred as a result of military service, its wrong to complain about it? You just want people to "deal with it"? Sick. (see comment)

Wait, we shouldn't use the power of the political process to try to improve the situation that caused this to happen? I'm not sure how wanting to change things for the better "cheapens" the tragedy. (see comment)

Well, its not quite that simple. The GM Oil Life Monitor does not sample the oil itself (like you say), but it does more than just count engine revolutions. It takes into consideration the temperature, the number of cold starts, and how you drive. (see comment)

Too bad if it "violates the law". I'm so sorry that your delicate sensibilities were hurt by the idea of a self-sustained community that isn't free to be decadent as you like. Besides, you think you live in a "free" society (in contrast with what you call … (see comment)
