Hello (again): Apple's iMac turns 10!

I'm still using my 1999 iMac DV as a secondary internet/jukebox/server machine, and it's doing a fine job. It's running Tiger (and OpenSuse 10.3) and is surprisingly fast even though it is almost 10 years old. (see comment)

I'm annoyed that we Touch users have to pay for the 2.0 upgrade. I understand Apple's reasoning on that, but I'm going to buy the iPhone eventually and don't see the point buying the new firmware at this point. Would love to start playing with the new app … (see comment)

Same thing goes for OS X. There's been bugs in every major release of OS X since it was first introduced. I always wait at least for the '.1' update before installing any new Apple OS. It's usually little things, but still, Apple needs to do a better work … (see comment)
