Considering that the story landed up on the front page, it clearly shows how Digg could be manipulated. It is good though that the Digg community ensured it didn't last for long, but where was the bury brigade when it was needed the most? (see comment)

You don't use a wildcard, instead you just put it upto 127.0.0 or 127.0 etc. However it means you are opening it up to everyone on your network i.e. anyone who can get that dynamic IP (see comment)

I have been told that in the next version the snap spider will visit your page, crawl the links and generate the previews for new links. That way it will prevent you needing to do it manually! (see comment)

I've implemented the same on my site http://techtites.com and am quite pleased with the results. You also can prevent internal links so that previews of only external links are displayed. (see comment)

While I have do use FF or IE a lot, I have never stopped using Opera, which I have being doing right from early 2002! It's fast, light and extremely easy to use. FF is a memory hog and IE7 is memory intensive too! (see comment)
