Are Apple and AT&T Divorcing?

Comment in Videos (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/28/2008
The Street seems to feel like they deserve Ron Endrele's position of Super Mega Jackass and are doing everything possible to collectively earn it. (see comment)

Why do people think the iPhone is better than the Voyager?

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/28/2008
Mainly because the UI on the Voyager is crap. That iPhone UI that they show in the commercials? Nothing more than a shortcut list that you have to bring up from the default interface. The Voyager is an N-V with a crappy touchscreen tacked on using half-as … (see comment)

Six reasons to boycott Apple

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/24/2008
It really helps to look at the date of an article before you submit it. Case in point, this particular piece of shit was written in October 2007 and consists of an interpretation of the 1.1.1 firmware update that was proven to be incorrect by the Dev Team … (see comment)

Didn't we already go through that with AT&T last fall? (see comment)

Just...stop it

That would have required him to actually look at the submitted by link, but that's apparently as hard as producing your own content. (see comment)

PalmOS apps in iPhone/iPod Touch

Comment in Videos (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/22/2008
I'll only use it if it truly replicates the PalmOS experience: random apps not working, bad response times and stupid games like Solitaire corrupting the entire OS so bad that it enters an endless hard reboot cycle, requiring a full restore. (see comment)

iTWire - Sophos: Mac invulnerability bubble to pop in 2008?

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/17/2008
Don't these same yahoos "believe" that the Mac will be massively attacked every year? I'm sorry, but without any sort of hard proof, I'm not going to be quaking in my boots because of some IT people's (ie Windows experts with little or no first-hand under … (see comment)

Iphone For Verizon

Comment in News (-1 diggs, 0 replies) - on 02/15/2008
The iPhone will NEVER run on Verizon. Why? Its not because Apple hates Verizon, its because the iPhone is a GSM phone, while Verizon runs a CDMA network. I thought that this had been cleared up a long time ago, but apparently, some people just really like … (see comment)

The iPhone and An Owner’s Disconnect

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/11/2008
Why is it that people are still harping on the bricking issue? After it was made abundantly clear that Apple did everything they could to avoid it? Even after the 1.1.3 update unbricked phones? It seems just a little bit disingenuous to me. (see comment)

With iPhone, 'Security' Is Code for 'Control'

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 02/07/2008
I'm usually in complete agreement with Schneier, but he's completely off the mark on this one. Bricked phones were caused by unlocking apps altering the phone's baseband firmware in unknown ways. Apple even went so far as to add code in the 1.1.3 firmware … (see comment)

iPhone has a Virus Again!

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/07/2008
A security hole is not an exploit, it is merely exploitable. I'm sure we'll see a 1.1.3 jailbreak method using this hole before any malware. (see comment)
