This is a fee INCREASE, read the fine print. Sure you save a nickel when listing the item, but if it sells, you will pay 66% more in final value fees (commission). (see comment)

Maybe I missed it....where did that article say that auctions accelerated? Everything else I've read this afternoon says that core listings dropped 2% y/y and SIF listings fell 25% y/y. (see comment)

4 hours? You got off lucky. Many users report having items not appear for days...if at all. The longest I've noticed on a personal listing was 14+ hours. Much of that time was spent talking to Live Help who kept telling me that it was due to security … (see comment)
