GTA4 has plenty to do with this story, as Rockstar has proven interest in upping the ante in terms of playable landscape. One major reason I enjoyed San Andreas so much was the insane amount of explorable space. (see comment)

I like the move by Google to universalize the homepage gadgets - first Google Desktop, now this. I hope people start developing them with more than just the homepage in mind, now. Any developers care to comment on the format they use? (see comment)
