And if you buy everything right now, you pay even more to the credit card companies and their ilk. Even with inflation, the most sensible way to go is to save or invest, at least enough to make your purchases with your own money. (see comment)

Time Warner already uses CableCard/OCAP boxes... and the Java interface is so slow, buggy, and unstable that even the techs openly refer to them in conversation with customers as "OH CRAP" boxes. Not something I'd look forward to "upgrading" my TV to. (see comment)

Both of which are at great potential risk of epidemics due to their lack of diversity. There's a reason we now eat (arguably inferior) Cavendish bananas--the ones we had before were mostly (entirely?) wiped out by fungus epidemics. (see comment)

Unfortunately the high score display only shows ten digits, so once you get into the tens of billions you lose track of how much you actually have (was competing with another person for the highest high score and ended up scoring somewhere in the trillion … (see comment)

I've tried powdered fructose, and it takes such massive amounts to achieve a similar sweetness that it's not really worth using. Honey works a lot better, and is just as natural (and cheaper). (see comment)
