Freelancers Union the Platform for an Independent Workforce

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 08/23/2008
One of the best features of the Freelancers Union is the group insurance it offers. I joined them during a freelancing stint. The least expensive health insurance plan I could find. Not cheap, but the best value for my money. (see comment)

Yelp caught running a mafia-style protection racket

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 08/06/2008

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 07/14/2008
Only certain cold pizzas are good. I find that the more types of meat there are on the pizza, the less good it is cold. No worries of course. It's all solved by firing up the oven. (see comment)

Disney Sues Small Family Business: Whose Side Are You On?

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 07/12/2008
I was once told that companies have to take these steps because if they don't they set a precedent. And with enough precedents they end up providing ammunition for others to use against them in court battles. Disney can't pretend it didn't know about the … (see comment)

Most Underrated Science Fiction Movies

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 07/11/2008
I agree. Pitch black turned out to be more entertaining than expected. It could be because I happened upon it while flipping channels rather than going through the usual production involved with a night at the theater. (see comment)

Why is it that the comments about the annoying pop-up are all getting thumbs down? Do people actually like the exit pop-up? I'm hoping the RD.com folks are just doing a test and this isn't the direction they're heading in for the long-term. (see comment)
