Sony's PS2 had in game ads. The new part would be the dynamic ads, so effectively Sony had in-game ads ages before Xbox 360. (see comment)

While I don't like the Blockbuster service, this sounds more like a case of user stupidity. If you link your Blockbuster account to your Facebook account you should expect to have the data shared - that's the whole point. (see comment)

Sure you pay less tax at the pump when you pump less gas, but nobody looks at it that way. It's the same with cigarettes, nobody thinks about the percentage of tax built into the price. (see comment)

That's largely lame - RealPlayer 11, while not perfect is no more annoying than iTunes trying to sell me crap all the time and at least it loads faster than Windows Media Player (see comment)
