'Van Damme vs. Seagal' Movie Without Van Damme or Seagal?
I'd pay at least $4 to see this movie. No foolin'.

Can George Clooney Save the Day for the WGA?
Though there are even more new releases than we're reviewing this week (it's January; we don't get to see all the movies for quality control reasons), the top film at the box office might have been gestating for a while, in more ways than one.
We expect Juno to take the top spot this weekend, despite the fact that Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman are in their first film together.
The Bucket List stars Nicholson and Freeman as a pair of old coots who put together a list of things they want to accomplish before their numbers are called. We get to see them play very familiar roles, although they're a tad more fragile here, so if you're fans, you probably won't be disappointed.
Ice Cube has a new inner city comedy in theaters this weekend, too, although the story in First Sunday is both a little tougher and a lot more redemptive than his string of forgettable comedies and action flicks over the past half decade.
Hard up for cash, Cube and SNL alumnus Tracy Morgan steal from a place nobody would ever think to rob. Turns out there's a good reason people don't steal from churches. Unless you're Jim Bakker and it's your own church.
And director Francis Ford Coppola is back with his first new theatrical release in roughly a decade. Youth Without Youth is not a movie for everyone, but those you get it will definitely find it to be a unique experience.
Tim Roth plays a linguist who can't age and newcomer Alexandra Maria Lara plays a woman visited by the a spirit from of the oldest civilizations on Earth. That's right; she's a Joan Rivers impersonator.
I can't reveal much more about Youth Without Youth, unfortunately. Not because I'd give something away, but because I don't want to confuse myself.
Now that 2007 is behind us, except for the awards season, such as it is, our Top Five, or more accurately, your Top Five counts down the most overrated movies of the year. They're not necessarily garbage; in fact, only one is really suspect. These movies just got more credit than they deserved, at least in your opinion.
For next week we really want to test your mettle: The Top Five Movies That Destroy New York City. We've got Cloverfield next week, and whenever America is under attack by aliens or monsters, they go right for Manhattan. Obviously, you'll have plenty of choices
Help us out and you could even win a shiny new DVD.
Usually, January doesn't push the needle on movie news, at least not until Sundance and the Golden Globes share the spotlight (ordinarily, that would start up about Sunday and go through next weekend), but this week, for whatever reason, we had lots of big news. Odd, considering the industry is at a standstill.
