200 Diggs 1 Voice: Diggers Had Enough

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 01/24/2008
Why is it that most of the people complaining are so-called 'SEO experts'. Is it perhaps that changes to Digg mean that people can't get their blogspam onto the front page? My heart bleeds for you. Surely raising the amount of diggs needed to get somethi … (see comment)

The Name Game: Using Keywords in URL Filenames

Comment in News (1 digg, 1 reply) - on 12/07/2007
Can we not have these SEO articles in their own section? Then I can ignore them for the spam that they are. Seriously, is *every* *single* *article* on SEO really worthy of being on Digg? (see comment)

Gmail Releases New Color-Coded Label System

Comment in News (3 diggs, 3 replies) - on 12/04/2007
Seems that you don't get this unless your language is set to 'English (US)'. Mine is set to 'English (UK)', and if I change it, I get coloured labels. Unfortunately, changing it back removes the feature :( (see comment)

Synergy : Open Source Coolness

Comment in News (0 diggs, 0 replies) - on 06/03/2007
The '-f' option is to not background the synergy process. It's also '--config' (or '-c') for the config, but since it looks in /etc for synergy.conf anyway, there's no need to specify the config on the command line. There's also no need to use 'touch' to … (see comment)

Server Stories: How Not To Deal With A Digg

Comment in News (0 diggs, 0 replies) - on 04/02/2007
I've had a story on the frontpage of Digg, and I'm on a $49/mo dedicated server plan. Bar a slight raise in server load, I had no problems. Seems to me that if you're not going to pay for the service, you can hardly complain when it falls over. (see comment)

Anatomy of a false story: Fox's Handling of Obama Rumor

Comment in News (0 diggs, 2 replies) - on 01/29/2007
What I don't understand is how it appears to be nigh on impossible to have an impartial news channel. Here in the UK, The two main 24hr news channels are Sky News, which being Murdoch-owned is a bit like watching a TV version of The Sun, and BBC News 2 … (see comment)
