For video, yes. But thats a compromise that was necessary for a long time that may disappear soon. If Apples move here doesn't substantially cut back flash use, Microsoft will when they get content owners to use Silverlight instead because of the DRM. (see comment)

It's being interpreted by apples own framework, not a third party framework. Javascript doesn't kill the battery if the engine is fast, and webkit is pretty fast. It doesn't annoy me with audio ads either. (see comment)

In california, you can't vote away marriage for one group of people. The equal protection clause prohibits it in this case, and the california supreme court has recognized marriage as a right, that means the recent amendment is going to be thrown out. (see comment)
