Around The World In 195 Days, Six Hours - By Bike

guardian.co.uk — A Scottish man became the fastest to cycle around the world yesterday when he arrived in Paris after nearly seven months on the road. Mark Beaumont, 25, completed the trip in 195 days and six hours - beating the current record of 276 days.

    I rode from California to Houston, Texas years ago and fueled myself with Burger King Whoppers the last half of the way. I was short on cash ($70 left in El Paso) and the ninety-nine cent Whopper (promotional price) was the most calorie dense per penny food around. They key is to take very small bites and chew a lot. Long live the Whopper!
