        Around my neighborhood in Miami, there was a gang called "TNS," which stood for Take No *****. After it all went to hell (half got arrested and the other half were scared of the 5-0) they ceased to exist... except for the two or three that still have the name tattoo'd across their stomachs or backs, haha.

These gangs have been here since the 60s and imagine they are going to be here until 2060 if not longer. Better education might help but you would not even see any effects of it until 10 or 15 years if your lucky.

If you live in certian communities you have no choice but to deal with gang members in your community. And it is not easy to tell who is a gang member and who is not.         Also. 40% of Maori have no qualifications. Most of them live in the North Island. North of Auckland and also in the far East. IE: Hastings.

        Statistically speaking (And I used stats.govt.nz to back this up) 1 in 61 maori or pacific island peoples are recorded of commiting an offense. Yet only 1 in 251 New Zealand European are recorded of commiting an offense.

        Stats are annual and obviously change. IE, in 2001, 42.6% of Maori had no qualifications, Now only 39.9% So it's getting better.

        But these stats may help you to make educated judgements.
