This is your chance to have a voice again. - Arcueid01, on 07/19/2008, -7/+38Well guys, I would say that this is the best bet to have your voice heard. This is about creating the right mindset in posterity because if those who would take away our freedom pollute the minds of our youth with lies and spin then freedom as we know it is gone. Paul has done an overall good job focusing on the issues that matter and stays away from those that don't.
- krond, on 07/19/2008, -7/+38Notice how Ron Paul's been "right on the money" regarding the economy all along? He's been right on the Constitution, too! Come see why over 70,000 have already signed up with the Campaign for Liberty, and join us in holding our government public servants accountable.
If you don't mind losing your freedoms, you won't have any freedoms left to mind... - IvanAndreevich, on 07/19/2008, -7/+33If I was a US citizen, I would join.

I wish there was more that could be done as single citizen to effect change - real change.- GlobalistShill, on 07/19/2008, -1/+16As you know, the mainstream media propaganda (right AND left) and the mind numbing public "education" systems are dumbing the hell out of everyone. I firmly believe that actively spreading awareness and simply sharing truths, in general, are some of the greatest services a person can provide. It has ripple effects.
- rexblade, on 07/19/2008, -1/+10I agree. One needs only to look at the mentality of some of the younger diggers to for proof of that. But if you don't believe that observation just look at the steady decline in test scores since 1994. Kind of blows me away that with information so readily available to kids these days they still struggle. The ignorance seems like it is almost willful.

- onetimer, on 07/19/2008, -32/+15How is this "World news" in any way? Not to mention this has already been on the front page. And look, two "DONATE" buttons on the same page. There's no news here, just political spam.
Buried.- Robjayne, on 07/19/2008, -11/+20Get lost !
- ssn697, on 07/19/2008, -15/+10You mean Ron Paul lost, in a big bad flaming failure sort of way...
- RedPhalanx, on 07/19/2008, -10/+12Don't you have anything better to do?
- cyndezu, on 07/19/2008, -10/+7Digg should ban these trolls. They have nothing positive to contribute ever.
- 3ugene, on 07/20/2008, -3/+2Nothing really negative either. It is usually typical troll drivel.
- 3ugene, on 07/20/2008, -4/+5Well, the American Government seems to believe it is the ruler of the world. So dismantling it and all of it's horrible global alliances, as Ron Paul would do, will serve the World much better. Can you imagine if we don't bomb Iran, while not killing their people and economy? There might actually be a chance for peace! Can you imagine what peace is like onetimer? What if Israel and Palestine both couldn't buy weapons with the money coming off of the American Foreign Aid Gravy Train?
- Robjayne, on 07/19/2008, -11/+20Get lost !
- tajitj, on 07/19/2008, -7/+22They are organizing a MONEY BOMB for Nov 4th?
That way we ensure this is an active campaignforliberty long into the future. - cyndezu, on 07/19/2008, -4/+28Statement of Principals from the Campaign for Liberty:
But many Americans today are frustrated. The political choices they are offered give them no real choice at all. For all their talk of “change,” neither major political party as presently constituted challenges the status quo in any serious way. Neither treats the Constitution with anything but contempt. Neither offers any kind of change in monetary policy. Neither wants to make the reductions in government that our crushing debt burden demands. Neither talks about bringing American troops home not just from Iraq but from around the world. Our country is going bankrupt, and none of these sensible proposals are even on the table. - JKap, on 07/19/2008, -6/+21The Ron Paul FREEDOM PRINCIPLES
* Rights belong to individuals, not groups.
* Property should be owned by people, not government.
* All voluntary associations should be permissible -- economic and social.
* The government's monetary role is to maintain the integrity of the monetary unit, not participate in fraud.
* Government exists to protect liberty, not to redistribute wealth or to grant special privileges.
* The lives and actions of people are their own responsibility, not the government's.
http://www.house.gov/paul/bio.shtml - KMye, on 07/19/2008, -7/+22Ron Paul 7/16/08: Stop bailing out companies that made bad choices with public money. Let Fannie MaeFreddie Mac collapse as they would without help, and "it would be rough for about a year" but then we'll be stronger for it. This is the kind of unconventional economic acuity we need in the White House. Ron Paul '08!
- KMye, on 07/20/2008, -3/+4Well, I guess 5 hours is enough to let this sit here...I was honestly hoping at least one Paulie would have enough understanding and conviction in that understanding to stand up and say letting Fannie Mae collapse, as Paul said we should, would be an absolutely disastrous course of action. All the Paul-acolytes should be aware their messiah is actively lobbying for a collapse of the entire global economic system, and unless he's actually as ignorant as he seems, is lying to his followers when he brushes off the extremely serious consequences of such as 'Oh, "it would be rough for about a year."' Little traps like this are less fun now that we can all undigg comments, but at least 12 of you (+one contact who I'm sure picked up on it) were ignorant enough to digg the comment above at this point in time.

- fadeout, on 07/19/2008, -14/+9Quit spamming in all caps for a loser that couldn't win a single primary against the least exciting Republican field I have ever seen.

- sportsstar67, on 07/19/2008, -11/+8man, this guy sure can suck money out of people with absolutely no results to show for any of it..The campaign for liberty is a sham to sell, books, t-***** etc. and for former paul website owners to keep their profitable websites going..it's all about money, not freedom
- pajeff2, on 07/20/2008, -11/+7paul has his slaves and sheep feeding him money and creating a base to sell his books and other items...For him this is a for profit organization with a bogus tax shelter
- rexblade, on 07/20/2008, -2/+5Funny I joined and it didn't cost me a penny. I guess I'm special.
