- CzechRebel, on 11/10/2007, -4/+2It is so interesting the way Glen Beck talks out of both sides of his mouth. Either he doesn’t understand American immigration law or he is intentionally deceiving his audience to it what it wants to hear.
Beck rages about how he is not against immigration and complains against “illegal Mexicans immigrants.” He goes on to say how they should come legally, as if that were possible. Let’s face it; there are no legal immigration programs for the vast majority of Mexicans. If they have a close family member, they may be able to get in eventually. Or, if they are highly skilled and highly educated and would not likely do as well here as they are doing in Mexico they may be able to get in. But there just aren’t any other legal programs. Otherwise, who in their right mind would take such chances to come here?
So, if Beck is anti-immigration, let him say so. It may well be that we don’t need any immigration. Or, perhaps we don’t need any immigration from Mexico at all. But let’s not act like there are two paths, one legal and one not, that anyone in Mexico could take into the US. My grandparents Emigrated here at the outbreak of WWI, they met on board during the crossing, and found they both had relatives in MI. At Ellis island they were processed in. They were first quarantined for 2 weeks, afraid to even cough or sneeze, because if they showed any signs of sickness, disease, or handicap they would be sent home. Today disease, sickness, AIDS, or handicap moves people from many parts of the world to the front of the line.
They then had to prove ability to support themselves, either proof of a job, or family who agreed to provide them with employment. In my Grandmothers case she had signed a 3 year Indentured servitude contract, to work as a maid for a well to do family in NY.(indentured servant was a polite term for white slavery, history of which has been deleted from American history courses.) My Grandfather had a job lined up on a farm in MI, owned by a relative. He instead chose to enlist in the U.S. Army, and returned to Europe to fight the Germans. 2 years later, when the war ended he returned to NY, bought out the last year of my grandmothers contract, married, and moved to MI. Today Illegals enter the U.S. and Immediately are eligible for welfare, housing, medical care, and other services. Many Immigrants are sponsored today, however the sponsors' job is to help them get Govt Aid, and benefits.
My Grandparents raised 15 children, 11 sons and 4 girls, my mother being the youngest. When one of the boys got in a fight in school after being teased for speaking Hungarian, my grandfather ruled that English only would be spoken in the house at all times, as he KNEW his children would not be able to succeed without being able to speak the Language of their HOME COUNTRY. I don't even need to tell anyone what the Liberal line is on English Only today.
When pearl Harbor was attacked 4 brothers enlisted, 2 more would enlist before wars end. Another attempted to enlist under an older brothers name, but was caught, and sent home. Over the years all 11 served, 9 during wartime. Flying bombers over Berlin, advancing with Paton through Europe, liberating Spain, Iwo jima in the pacific, the freezing winter in Korea, the jungles of Nam. 4 served in 2 different wars, 3 in 3 wars, 2 in only one. The family reunion is decorated every year with American flags, We begin with a prayer to the lord, then recite the pledge of ALLEGIANCE.
U.S. Citizenship is a Privelege, to be honored. The rights we have here have been earned through the sacrifice and blood, of Those who risked all, and especially of those who gave all. It dishonors the heroes of the past, and all who have legally obtained citizenship without the aid of the seditious 1968 immigration act presented by Ted kennedy.
Every other developed nation in the world either has a strict Immigration policy, or is in the process of attempting to enact one. Other nations do not have the right to dump their poor, hungry, and sick on the U.S. Try to go to mexico and demand they give you medical care, respect your rights, provide you with housing, educate your children. The European nations which had liberal immigration policies in the past, are reaping the results of increased crime, riots, strained social welfare programs, throwback "multicultural beliefs"(honor killings, child mutilation, Human trafficking).
You claim Glenn Beck talks out of both sides of his mouth , Bull he blatantly admits he is against Illegal Immigration, There should not be Programs for the vast majority. If the vast majority of mexicans oppose the way of life their country provides then they should rise up and oppose their Governments. Those who are willing to legally Emigrate here, who will add to our society, are welcomed. Those who come for the free ride, or to prey on citizens, should be rounded up and sent back to their home countries. If they knew that an Immigration Violation got you deported, and also disallowed you from ever reapplying, the invasion of our borders would drastically decrease. - OwdenBowden, on 12/20/2007, -0/+2Anyone who supports any type of legal action for, or takes the needs of illegal emigrants over the needs of Citizens of the United States of America is guilty of TREASON. A harsh statement but true. The men, women, children that come to this country illegally are an invading force (some of which are openly supported and chartered by foreign governments) that are destroying this country fast and turning it into a third world nation. This invading army is depleting valuable resources that are in a limited supply. They are like the wild fires of California as they consumes the homes and life of all in their path and without disregard for anything but them self. We hardly have enough financial support for legal children in school that we are forced to use outdated textbooks and teach in closets because these educational facilities are bursting with children of illegal immigrants. It is so bad that California is seeking legal action against the government of Mexico (i believe the figure is 25 Billion dollars) for the losses incurred due to illegal immigration. Our prison system is bursting with illegals - sometime at a rate of 20-to-1. This doesn't take into consideration the medical burden we have because the illegal immigrant gets FREE medical care from Hospitals - no questions asked. I for one am very sick and tried of it all.
I am an American Citizen - Born and Raised - whose family members are products of LEGAL EMIGRANTS. I know all about the dream of America but the difference here is my family WANTED TO BE AMERICANS where as these immigrants (no mater where you are coming from) WANT A FREE RIDE. Well I am here to say - NO FREE RIDE.
These people need to be rounded up and removed from the country. And for anyone who broke the law by being here that has had children here - then their children shall be rounded up and removed from this country with their "Naturalization" status being null and void on the grounds that "YOU CANNOT ENFORCE THE LAW BY FIRST BREAKING THE LAW!"
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
GET THE HELL OUT.

The US Military artillery cleaned out Santa Ana's army after it had heroically surrounded The Alamo and slaughtered a handful of brave Americans. And certain nationalist elements in Mexico regret those events to this day.
Here's an idea - why doesn't Mexico just formally surrender to the US Government? Then we'd be obligated under the Geneva convention to take them all in. :-) And we could set up some very nice humane labor camps in our newly acquired territory to the south.
