Obama and Hillary attend Bilderberg conference 2008
americangoy.blogspot.com — There are virtually no news stories on the just concluded (5 – 8 June 2008) Bilderberg meeting, in Chantilly, Virginia. This is not newsworthy, because nobody important attended... only people like Bernanke, chairman of the FED, the president of World Bank, Condoleezza Rice, Director of the National Security Agency... and Obama and Hillary.

The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.
953. Private correspondence with foreign governments.
Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government, or the agents thereof, for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

It is time to put away the bullsh*t conservative vs liberal media talking points - we are all in this together.
So what if some of us are more "lib" than "con" - there are core issues we can agree on.

Isn't that un-American? Shouldn't that be un-American?
15 of the 19 terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 were saudis.
Our involvement with and support for Israel has produced most of the terrorist attacks against us, from the Beirut Marine Barracks bombing, to the Berlin and Munich Disco bombings,to the Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacking, to the Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya embassy bombings.
We need to be "engaged" in those places, because they want to kill us for our freedoms, right?
I don't watch Fox News Channel, so I am not eager to see an American Empire, it just doesn't make sense to me. Because I'm a "liberal commie", regardless of my conservative credentials, having grown up in a family where my father was a 64 West Point grad, who went to Vietnam as an Airborne Ranger and Pathfinder in 1965 as the first US Based ground forces, who defended an artillery support based during the "we were soldiers" battle.
Chickenhawks are what we in the military community call people who love the idea of war without any contribution to war. They are the fools who pound their chests and scream loudly looking for the next war, but have no idea what war is about. ***** the chickenhawks. - lamiaconfitor, on 06/10/2008, -16/+6The ***** Bilderberg conspiracy theorists are retarded, sorry, dumb asses. The conspiracy theories are all based on the fact that they acknowledged that overpopulation is a problem, and all you stupid bastards think that means they are planning global genocide. in fact, the Bilderberg group is a group of concerned global citizens who are discussing (not negotiating) the issues of the global community. ***** anarchist groups have been invited to the meetings and have found no dirt on them. ANARCHISTS for ***** sake. Who gives a *****, go to the conference your damned selves and judge.
unless you think that programs to give condoms to people in booming populations is evil, STFU.- obliviousfool, on 06/10/2008, -2/+14You are retarded. The group is not open to the public and the attendees are sworn to secrecy, therefore, no one outside of that group knows what they discuss.
- lamiaconfitor, on 06/10/2008, -6/+1to obliviousfool... except for press groups.
- relic180, on 06/10/2008, -1/+7Concerned citizens my ass. Did you even read the list of attendees?
Whether they propose genocide is not really the point, because we don't if they did since the MEETINGS ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. What is important, is that it is fairly certain that this group of people are dictating the major events around the world toward their own goals. And the only info that ever makes it out of those meetings are from anonymous contacts that leak the stuff. Look it up.
The problem with this is that it is not democracy, it is not freedom, and it has only one inevitable outcome; a one world government with a tiny group of mega-wealthy holding the other 99% of the planet's population under their massive thumb.
This isn't positive change, this isn't ethical behavior, and it's not natural order of things.
Further, whether anarchists have attending the meeting or not (you plan on skipping the citation on that one?), what exactly does that have to do with anything? To claim that the only thing happening at these conferences is discussing "condom programs" has got to be the stupidest, most ignorant thing I've ever heard.
Thanks, and gtfo of my country you passive waste of space.

- PhilLesh69, on 06/10/2008, -0/+6"The Logan Act (18 U.S.C.A. § 953 [1948]) is a single federal statute making it a crime for a citizen to confer with foreign governments against the interests of the United States. Specifically, it prohibits citizens from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States without authorization.
Congress established the Logan Act in 1799, less than one year after passage of the ALIEN AND SEDITION ACTS, which authorized the arrest and deportation of ALIENS and prohibited written communication defamatory to the U.S. government. The 1799 act was named after Dr. George Logan. A prominent Republican and Quaker from Pennsylvania, Logan did not draft or introduce the legislation that bears his name, but was involved in the political climate that precipitated it.
In the late 1790s, a French trade embargo and jailing of U.S. seamen created animosity and unstable conditions between the United States and France. Logan sailed to France in the hope of presenting options to its government to improve relations with the United States and quell the growing anti-French sentiment in the United States. France responded by lifting the embargo and releasing the captives. Logan's return to the United States was marked by Republican praise and Federalist scorn. Aside from the fact the actual text of the act shows that it doesn't apply here, anyone who chose to do 5 minutes of independent research would figure out the same (US State Dept in 1975: "The clear intent of this provision [Logan Act] is to prohibit unauthorized persons from intervening in disputes between the United States and foreign governments"), unless they buy into Alex Jones' profit-driven, disingenuous, and completely baseless claims the group is somehow discussing, deciding on, and distributing plans for a one-world government in a 3-day a year meeting. Anyone with an even half-average serving of common sense should be able to make a long list of reasons why Jones' ***** is ridiculous; I understand I'm not putting these forward here, but I already wasted too much of my life doing that in the last Bilderberg story that front-paged a couple days ago, and finally, completely, learned the lesson that arguing against a lack of common sense is pointless; you either get it, or you don't.- wakananda, on 06/10/2008, -3/+12That's a lot of bitter wind up our pantlegs just to promote "common sense." And of course, the idea that a group of powerful people might want to rule the world is patently ridiculous. Powerful people throughout history have never wanted to do that. They just want to help people.

Did they hijack the entire press corps to Chicago so he could have a simple, private meeting? He doesn't have to let the press into Diane Feinstein's house.
No. He did it because he was breaking the law (Logan Act) and wanted to make sure the press was as far away as possible while he slipped away.
I understand supporting him, of the 3 choices I think he is the least bad. But, I think we all need to come to the realization that all 3 are bad. 90% of our federal government it seems has gone completely corrupt, working for corporations and against the citizens they swear an oath to serve, via our laws, and especially our constitution.
There are some who try to stand up for what is right (Kucinich for example with his articles of Impeachment yesterday), but they are overwhelmed by others working against what is good for We The People.
I think Obama clearly is heavily influenced by those who wish to rig the system towards huge corporations and banks, just like most of the rest.

Official Bilderberg press release:
"The 56th Bilderberg Meeting will be held in Chantilly, Virginia, USA 5 – 8 June 2008."
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/06/06/politics/f ...
"The controversy began to develop after a campaign rally in Bristow, Virginia, when the press was whisked away to Dulles Airport outside of Washington, D.C., to board a flight to Chicago. According to campaign staffers, Obama had scheduled interviews with local Chicago television reporters and would meet up at the airport shortly. After waiting for Obama for over an hour, the situation on the plane quickly went from tiresome to alarming once the pilot informed the press that the doors had been locked and the plane was about to take off.
As the plane rolled down the tarmac, the press quickly realized that Obama had never boarded the flight and we had all been duped.
(...)
As we began to frantically call our assignment desks to alert them that the presumptive Democratic nominee was running free in Washington, the plane took off for Chicago, leaving us trapped on a plane.
The tight-lipped Gibbs chose to brief the press on Obama’s whereabouts only after the plane was airborne."

"Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in Chantilly, VA on 12000 acres of land 26 miles from downtown Washington, DC."

- americangoy, on 06/09/2008, -1/+26The kidnapping of reporters is a nice touch.
"However, Gibbs failed to explain why the press was fooled into believing that Obama would be on the flight to Chicago and why we were not given the chance to de-plane once we learned that Obama would be staying in Washington. He simply said, with a mischievous grin, “We could have sat on the runway for a couple of hours so we decided to go."
Upon landing in Chicago, Gibbs informed the weary travelers that Obama had indeed met with Clinton as part of the end of the primary process. Details surrounding the meeting were not released, nor was the location disclosed. Shortly thereafter, both campaigns released the following statement:
“Senator Clinton and Senator Obama met tonight and had a productive discussion about the important work that needs to be done to succeed in November.”"
Got that?
"However, Gibbs failed to explain why the press was fooled into believing that Obama would be on the flight to Chicago and why we were not given the chance to de-plane once we learned that Obama would be staying in Washington. He simply said, with a mischievous grin, “We could have sat on the runway for a couple of hours so we decided to go." "
They were not allowed to leave the plane; they were literally kidnapped.
And all this to prevent them reporting on an Obama-Hillary meeting, information which was released anyway to them and to the world a few hours later?

By finding another means of explaining away something that challenges their fixed position, they can maintain the fixed position; and that’s the whole idea of the exercise: defending their belief. It is irrelevant if the explanation they come with up is not valid — they never bother to research that. So long as they can find something, anything, that’s enough to preserve the perception." - David Icke

There is plenty of oil elsewhere, which will be "discovered" later, when the appropriate time comes, so the fact that the Middle East oil cannot be extracted is of no concern to them. - BillE3, on 06/12/2008, -0/+0Hillary got money the traditional method, including Bills contribution gathering. Obama on the other hand was very modern in his contribution gathering, he went to the internet. Large and small donations given through the internet are faster, easier and can include donations from all over the world. Hillary and McCain depended almost exclusively on Americans to give money through the regulated channels. They came up very short compared to Obama, he did not limit himself to just the American working man.

- wtfpwned98, on 06/10/2008, -6/+23It's good that you're skeptical. Here's the way I look at it...
1. Private clubs are nothing new. It may be nothing more than a big dinner party where everything is strictly off of the record, and just because we're not invited it doesn't mean that they're plotting against us. Our attitudes about social networking don't change as we climb the social ladder. You can talk to your peers without the media reporting on every word...can you blame them for wanting to do the same thing? Yes, ideally people in power wouldn't operate in secrecy (at least in any official capacity), but until there's a law restricting their freedom of association, they'll probably keep doing this.
2. Conspiracy theories appeal most to paranoid, lesser-educated people who are looking for answers but somehow forgot that there are any number of reliable places where they can find them. When you hear a conspiracy theory that sounds plausible, part of your brain is getting rewarded because you feel like you've found some rare bit of information or understanding of phenomena. Keep your brain under control. Skepticism is always important, and conspiracy theorists never let their skepticism get in the way of a story that works for them on other levels.
3. Real academics have job security, and all the time in the world to research whatever they want. Why not look into more conventional explanations first? Why should we let Alex Jones teach us that global elites are planning to exterminate 80% of the world's population? Why isn't he taken seriously by far more educated (and less paranoid) people? You really think that Noam Chomsky would be afraid to tell us if something like this was really going on, or that he would be afraid to look into it? Many people are aware of the nuts, but have decided that it's better to ignore them. You're better off ignoring them too.- SPThom, on 06/10/2008, -3/+5First bit of sense I've read in these comments so far.
- Mik1984, on 06/10/2008, -1/+2"Why should we let Alex Jones teach us that global elites are planning to exterminate 80% of the world's population?"
Who says it's Alex Jones teaching about it? Dr. Pianka and many other eugenicists are saying this. This is a recurring phrase in many of their documents.
Are they "planning" to do it? Planning is maybe the wrong word, since I believe they lack such capabilities, but there is enough evidence to show that's most probably their wet dream.
Noam Chomsky hasn't said anything worth to listen since 80' . Moreover he's a left wing dreamer and has his head sealed shut in paradigms.
He still believes that the Iraq war is a part of US imperialist policy. Iraq war is 0% imperialism, 70% corruption and 30% domestic political agenda. If you disagree, you lack knowledge.- wtfpwned98, on 06/11/2008, -2/+1See, there you go...the connection you're making between the Bilderberg conference and an unhinged radical who studies lizards...that's the stuff of which nutty conspiracies are made. Skepticism will set you free.
- Mik1984, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1And of course such things like "UN depopulation plans" did not exist either...
Dr. Pianka is not a sole unhinged loon, he's connected to an entire group of people called, the eugenicists are only the avantgarde of this entire thing. Mainstream of the cabal believes in one thing: more for them and less for everybody else. They welcome such views with open hands, because they serve their agenda. What AJ is probably somewhat off target here is that depopulation, when possible could serve their primary goal of installing insuppressible power.
But here I am talking to a wall. You never researched the subject and you probably never will before this issue is brought to such a mass that you'll comfortably go along with it, and it will be brought to such point, because no matter how much of BS is spoken it won't change what transpired and inevitably new people will be stumbling upon the evidence.
If 98 is you birth date, then you're excused, but what you are presenting here is defined as pseudoscepticism. Real skepticism is about doing your own research and not judging theories and statements by their initial credibility. - wtfpwned98, on 06/12/2008, -0/+1You're not talking to a wall, you're talking to someone who thinks you're paranoid (without sufficient evidence) about Bilderberg conferences. It's one thing to point to people who believe in depopulation...and btw, the Chinese one child policy is a "depopulation" policy, because replacement fertility rate requires each couple to have slightly more than 2 children in order to offset infant mortality, etc, so some of the "radicals" who believes in "depopulation" aren't exactly talking about exterminating 80% of the world's population in some kind of global holocaust...anyway, it's another thing altogether to suggest that because Obama and Hillary attend Bilderberg they must be part of some grand conspiracy, or that they're reptilians, or whatever it is certain people believe about certain elites. I understand how skepticism works, but if I told you the moon was made of cheese you're going to disagree, and I'll disagree with you here too, because I'm just not as paranoid as you are.

- meranting, on 06/10/2008, -6/+21I used to be a big conspiracy believer, a global conglomerate controlling everything. I've moved away from that out of the simple reason that I think it's over blown. There's no conspiracy when it happens right in front of your eyes. If you read 'confessions of an economic hit man' you might also agree that we're giving these people way too much credit. In reality it's just greedy business people getting together figuring out how they can continue to make their money - they're not conspiring, they're just doing their thing. Eisenhower knew this, warned us about it and here we are 50 years later with the military industrial complex dictating our next move.
It's the oldest argument of them all but it really is just about natural resources. Using fear and paranoia is not a way to tell the truth that what the Bush Administration did. You want to tell me the truth then show me some evidence. Speculation is not evidence, and it's not truth. Tell just how they are going to take over the world and enslave humanity? How are they going to nuke 6 billion people, or infect 6 billion people without running a risk of eliminating them self? Their is no incentive to do this, humanity has advanced by leaps and bounded when we eliminated monarchy. Because we can only advance by working together the Evil NWO is fairy tale. We already live in a new world order where we have increased cooperation between nations. Decreased crime, and racial tensions between countries(Except for those that were recently created). And financial prosperity around the world for all types of people including in the US despite our current financial problems. The term NWO was used in the 1980's and was an accurate prediction of new world to come different from the one we had experienced during the cold war. - Jitan, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2The quality of this Bilderberg stupidity is pretty much on the same level as the pregnancy of either Spears.

I don't want to sound like a "nutter", but people in power want to protect their upper hand, will sacrifice anyone to keep it, and will show solidarity amongst themselves against the common threat of the lower-to-upper-middle classes. Secrecy is important to keep contrary wills at a disadvantage.
Conspiracies are really complex systems composed of human personalities, groups and their interactions. People have directives by nature. These complex systems have an emergent drive that is very predictable and less than altruistic. Substitute 'conspiracy' for 'complex system' mentally whenever you come across the word. The human weakness of needing acceptance is preyed upon to push you away from the analysis of the behaviors of those in power.
Motive and means are present.
