US teacher is suspended for letting pupils read bestseller

  • erranttv, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4I bet those inner-city kids cussed or wrote about sex. No teenagers outside of Gary do any of that in Indiana. They have absolutely nothing to learn from the experience of others. 18 months without pay is an amazing punishment. Its amazing how frightened some people are of knowledge---most often parents and school boards. No wonder kids don't learn any critical thinking skills anymore.
