U.S. Military in Hunt for Bio-based Jet Fuel

spectrum.ieee.org — The U.S. military is looking for a few good crops or wees . . . to fight global warming by flying its military jets on bio-fuels, made from crops or desert grasses harvested in one of the hungriest places on earth, the African Sahara. Perhaps, "we," the U.S., don't need these military jets to make the hungriest part of the word even hungrier.
