Tim Heidecker Wrote A Love Song For The Modern Incel And It's Beautiful
Since Taylor Swift ventured into the treacherous waters of endorsing Democratic candidates for office earlier this month, it's been ever so slightly more difficult for alt-Right conservatives and incels to find music made for them, by them.
And since "Ballad of The Incel Man" is a parody written by Tim Heidecker, an icon of weird internet humor and one half of the famed comedy duo Tim & Eric, it's still not exactly "for incels, by incels."
But it is a well-written/arranged piece of music! And it is pretty funny! And you can chip in $1 to get a digital download of the track and also pledge $21 to HIAS.
You can check out the full lyrics for the song on Heidecker's Bandcamp page2 but I'd like to highlight one passage here, if that's okay.
This stanza pops up in what I think is the song's bridge3, and it's just so, so good:
Sometimes it scares me
When he goes on one of those rants
Sometimes I don't know what he's talking about
But it makes them liberals shit their pants
Makes them shit their pants
Gold. Involuntarily celibate gold. When this killer earworm finally gets itself unstuck from your head, read more about incels and listen to this awesome Heidecker bop about "working from home."
