The internet may have outdone itself this time. 

A viral clip has emerged of what appears to be a chicken breast — or is it a leg? — clamoring over a diner's plate onto the floor, and it's extremely disgusting. 

Having spent a lot of time online, we've come across videos of freshly killed octopi, fish and frogs squirming around on dinner plates as chemical reactions — often between tissue and lemon or tissue and salt — cause their undead muscles to contract. We thought this phenomenon began and ended with sea creatures. But, then, we saw this:  

 

We don't know enough about the central nervous systems of chickens to come down decidedly one way or the other on this — but, oh God, do we hope it some sort of demented prank, the work of some sort of modern artist commenting on the meat industry.
