Pranksters Go Undercover At Jerry Media Office To Make A Point About Them Stealing Content
Jerry Media — in addition to being intimately involved in the Fyre Fest fiasco — is best known for their @fuckjerry Instagram account that is notorious for sharing (or, in the opinion of many comics, stealing) other people's jokes and posts.
Comic Jason Selvig — half of stunt comedian group The Good Liars — posted a video on Twitter showing a purported meeting he and Davram Stiefler had with Jerry Media's Head of Partnerships to pitch an idea: take every post from @fuckjerry's Instagram and post it onto their own Instagram.
The idea doesn't go over very well and the comedians steal one of their mugs and run out the door.
"We stole a coffee mug from the offices of @FuckJerry and we're using it as the mascot for a new instagram account – @MugJerry," according to group's website mugjerry.com. "As a result of @FuckJerry's unmitigated theft of creative material, @MugJerry will be doing to them what they've done to countless others – by taking a screenshot of every post on Fuck Jerry's account and reposting it to the @MugJerry Instagram."
