We recently shared our ten most anticipated summer movies, and today we're taking a look at what TV and streaming has to offer over the next few months.

'Bodkin' (May 9 on Netflix)

Will Forte plays a journalist and podcaster who goes to a small Irish town to solve a mystery. Sure, the title of this is does sound like nonsense, but that log line of a premise is perfect. We are totally sold.

'The Big Cigar' (May 17 on Apple TV)

Andre Holland needs to fire his agents; he should be starring in much bigger roles where people can actually see him work. Apple TV finally got him as the lead in a new series about Huey P. Newton, the Black Panther leader, and his escape from America to Cuba under the guise of a (fake) movie production. Sounds like "Argo," which is also a true story, and we want to see what Don Cheadle is like as a director.

'The Beach Boys' (May 24 on Disney Plus)

If this can be the Beach Boys's "Get Back", then Disney has cornered the market on documentaries about boomer classic rock bands.

'Eric' (May 30 on Netflix)

Benedict Cumberbatch will get another attempt at an American accent, this time playing the creator of a kids TV show in 1980s Manhattan whose son goes missing. The titular Eric is actually a drawing of a monster, and we have no clue what the tone of this thing will be without a full trailer.

'Clipped' (June 4 on FX/Hulu)

FX never shies away from their ripped from the headline story, usually surrounding celebrity or sports drama. Considering "The People v. OJ Simpson" was a gigantic success, both critically and commercially, maybe covering the Donald Sterling LA Clippers scandal could do similarly? Laurence Fishburne plays Doc Rivers, Ed O'Neill plays Donald Sterling and Jacki Weaver plays Shelly Sterling, his wife.

'Star Wars: The Acolyte' (June 4 on Disney Plus)

Some of Disney's new shows are excellent ("The Mandalorian" and "Andor") while others are forgettable ("Obi-Wan" and "The Rise of Skywalker). Where will "The Acolyte" fall on that spectrum? Hopefully closer to "Andor" because we cannot stand to see another dud entry in the Star Wars universe.

'Queenie' (June 7 on Channel 4/Hulu)

The popular new adult novel "Queenie" has been turned into a series from Candice Carty-Williams, who is also the author of the novel. A Jamaican-British journalist attempts to manage work-life balance and family drama, and all we know is that people loved this book. Hopefully it translates well.

'Presumed Innocent' (June 12 on Apple TV)

The TV adaptation of the '90s film "Presumed Innocent," starring Harrison Ford, this new Apple version has Jake Gyllenhaal β€” coming off of his "Roadhouse" remake β€” being matched up against Ruth Negga and Peter Sarsgaard. Please bring back more legal thrillers, Hollywood, we need more of them.

'Sunny' (July 10 on Apple TV)

Missing people cases are all the rage nowadays. This mystery has a sci-fi twist to it. Rashida Jones is paired up with a robot to solve her family's disappearance in Kyoto, Japan.

Note: this is not the actual trailer; just a visual update

'Those About to Die' (July 18 on Peacock)

Anthony Hopkins and director Roland Emmerich (in his first TV show ever) take on the holy Roman empire. What more do you need to know? This could be "Gladiator," but in a series.
