- MrEthiopian, on 10/07/2008, -3/+1For you people blaming just the democrats for our current financial mess, please take a look at this site Whitehouse.gov, in 2004 bush is pushing the ownership society. Look for a paragraph that starts with Expanding homeownership. This proves that the republicans are also to blame.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/08/20 ...- biblthmp, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2Encouraging home ownership is quite different than threatening to sue banks (i.e. Barney Frank) that use credit scores to qualify loans, because that "would be racist", because research has shown that the average black has a much lower credit score than the average white of the same income level.
- enginedave, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3Not entirely the same as demanding oversight on entities and regulations that FORCED mortgage companies to write risky loans and force Fran and Fred Mac to guarantee them. Two entirely different things Mr Ethiopian Lib.
- MadJayhawk, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Waxman held hearings today into the role of Lehman Bros. WHAT A JOKE!!! Are all the Democrats in Wall Street's pocket?
- jasperkatt7, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1 Chicago based, Acorn is a radical group that uses fear and intimidation to get the bankers to give them loans. Obama, a supporter, has ties to it. Obama, Acorn, and Clinton have a part in this financial crisis. According to Fox news, Pres. Clinton signed a bill forcing Fannie to raise loans by 50%, so poor people can have a home. All the easy loans drove up the price of housing, people defaulted on thse loans= Crisis. Radicalism scares me.
