- sjnorth, on 10/09/2008, -1/+54He really is a masterful strategist. This is what you call END GAME.
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -3/+1Yes ... end game of millions of dollars. He's more of a free spender than Hank Clinton, who needlessly spent 50 million after she had lost. If Obama is so sure of winning, why not use that money to help the poor that he so cares about? Why? Because he's desperate to reach Americans in a forum where he doesn't have to stand across from a man who has talked the talk and walked the walk for over 2 decades ... who has delivered on his promises ... who has more than 2 years experience. The Obama campaign won't tell you this, so I will ... the polls are misleading. They have been for decades. If he cannot get 20% of the die-hard Right voters he will not win. The Huffington's of the world have made that nearly impossible with their hateful propoganda. If you really care about our candidate, you'd stop talking so confidently because you need to instill a sense of urgency into your party to get out and vote Nov 4th. Otherwise, the Dems historically have stayed home when "they had it in the bag". Oh, if it rains 15% less Dems show up on election day. If you care so much fill up your tank and drive a few people to the polls.
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3I think you just answered your own question. It's not over until the fat lady sings, Obama knows this, and that's why he's still spending money on the campaign.

- kw7777777, on 10/09/2008, -1/+43Smart move....how long til the McWhiner/Palin campaign start complaining and trying to spin this as somehow arrogant or something? An opportunity to talk to the American people in primetime and detail his vision and policy plans and most likely he'll address the public about making some sacrifices. That campaign is brilliant!
- linny57, on 10/09/2008, -1/+8McLame/Failin will say "see he IS an elitist, he has sooo much money, he can purchase a half an hour on national TV." I think it's a great idea, another chance for him to tell the American people his vision for the US and how he will get us on the right track. GO Obama08!!!!
- jansartgal, on 10/09/2008, -1/+35Now THAT's what we're talking about!! What a great campaign he is running! Be proud!
- blakecr, on 10/09/2008, -3/+36Barack Obama is the *****!
- booksnmore4you, on 10/09/2008, -1/+26Woop woop!
- lncb2u, on 10/09/2008, -1/+25He'll be as proactive running our country -- he's the one!!!!!
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -3/+1Yes, he is the one. He's the Ryan Leaf of politics. He looks like a leader, talks like a leader ... you'd never guess he has only 2 years in the Senate. Of course, on gameday he will show you just how gullible you were to vote for him. You think our country is bad now, get ready for grain donations to come in from Australia ... or how about in 3 years when China parks their military off our shores. I hope you can speak fluent mandarin.
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1You sir, are either a retard or a GOP shill.
Neither is worth listening to.
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1You sir, are either a retard or a GOP shill.

- cmw72, on 10/09/2008, -0/+22It's brilliant.
Have any other Dish Network customers noticed there is now an Obama channel that runs a five hour segment on a loop? I wonder how much that costs ...- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3No, because I'm too busy watching the Spice Channel which has far better action.
- DeadFox1, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1st19xl? ;) ;)
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3No, because I'm too busy watching the Spice Channel which has far better action.
- TJ11240, on 10/09/2008, -0/+21Hopefully this will educate voters a lot better than all the 30 second attack ads
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3After seeing video of some of the Sarah Palin supporters... I have little hope that they can be educated about even the most trivial things.
- amprather, on 10/09/2008, -1/+17The article says that they are negotiating with NBC and FOX, which will get even more viewers out there. I think this is amazing and shows exactly how brilliant the Obama campaign has been run.
My concern is that it may be too late, unless they are going to have a killer endorsement in it - Colin Powell?- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Because we all know how much people watch network TV these days. You do realize cable channels topped the debates right? No one does network anymore except for a few flagship shows.
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1I wouldn't be surprised if he asked Colin Powell and was turned down.
- mrcoldcow, on 10/09/2008, -10/+3What could he possibly say that he hasn't yet?
- eibborjames, on 10/09/2008, -0/+12Maybe to correct much of the negative?
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Not what could he say, but who could he say it too. If you watch the video of Sarah Palin supporters. They don't know anything about Obama. One even says that Sarah Palin has done MORE interviews than him... it's sad yet laughable.
He just needs to let people hear him out.... a lot of people have not, yet.
- politicalmuse, on 10/09/2008, -14/+1I heard he's gonna sell the shamwow.
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Hey WingNuts!
When is Sean Hammity going to start selling swastika jewlrey on QVC? It's only a question of time...
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Hey WingNuts!
- dagnabbit, on 10/09/2008, -3/+29Obama has 30 minutes on CBS, McCain has 24/7 on Fox News.
Point, McCain.
/jonstewart- eibborjames, on 10/09/2008, -7/+4The only people that watch FOX News ironically are the only people who get out of the shower to take a piss.
- covertress, on 10/09/2008, -18/+1Won't help. lol
- christopheles, on 10/09/2008, -0/+12Really. I mean how much bigger can his lead get?
- mywhitenoise, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3wont help who? Obama has a 90.7 win percentage.
www.fivethirtyeight.com
it's over dude, admit it. - Kizilbash, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Have you heard of this thing called polls? I guess it is a new thing?
- YsoSerious57, on 10/09/2008, -8/+1I'm pissed he is preempting the New Adventures of Old Christine . . .
- christopheles, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3It's preempting "Gary Unmarried." I take it your written comprehension scores were always a tad low.
- FlaG8r, on 10/09/2008, -0/+2CBS is probably thrilled to have anything to run in place of Gary.
- christopheles, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3It's preempting "Gary Unmarried." I take it your written comprehension scores were always a tad low.
- mbelleghem, on 10/09/2008, -0/+15I was wondering when Obama was going to bring his superior financial firepower to bear on this race. The timing couldn't be better.
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -3/+1Funny how you always talk about the rich elite on the Right, but somehow Obama has the financial advantage. Amazing how much international influence can benefit regime change.
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Yet another white trash GOP shill.
You mdae the right choice. Now, shut the f###k up up when your doublewide runs out of propane.... forever.
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Yet another white trash GOP shill.

- SpankkBankk, on 10/09/2008, -18/+3Negotiating? the MSM would kill for Obama to have 30 min on their liberal stations... I wouldn't doubt if CBS Paid Obama....
Lets see if he's man enough to talk about ACORN- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -1/+1Let's see if you're man enough to get a brain transplant.
You're gonna need it - Wall St. already has enough idiots.
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -1/+1Let's see if you're man enough to get a brain transplant.
- Room302, on 10/09/2008, -17/+0I FUNNO, BarAAack might haf sum' problAAy-moh's wit dat DARHN' Katie Couric n' her "gotcha" joournahlizhms.
- okayokayokay, on 10/09/2008, -1/+16Hell yeah, Obama! Put my $30 donation to good use!
- kingofinternet, on 10/09/2008, -2/+13this campaign has been masterful.
i guess after 2 stinging defeats, the democrats have brought their a game. - CGProphet, on 10/09/2008, -8/+1yeah it worked real well for Ross Perot..
- wild, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3Ross Perot would have had a great shot at winning if he hadn't dropped out mid-race.
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -2/+1You're right ... he got 19% of the vote anyway still.
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/10/2008, -1/+1He dropped out because of a death threat against his daughter. He eventually came back but it was too late. To be honest, if he had never run, GB the elder could've had a chance against Bubba.
- wild, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3Ross Perot would have had a great shot at winning if he hadn't dropped out mid-race.
- yellowcakewalk, on 10/09/2008, -11/+1Nothing like $740,000 in contributions from Goldman Sachs to help you reach out to the little people.
- yellowcakewalk, on 10/09/2008, -1/+1Dugg down but no rebuttal = truth hurts.
- Bagrad, on 10/09/2008, -4/+3This is a smart move. It could also turn against him...
- SethEllis, on 10/09/2008, -9/+1Wel if you didn't already believe that the media was bought and paid for, you definitely can't deny it now.
- algaeturd, on 10/10/2008, -1/+2The difference being that Obama has to actually pay money. They give all the time to McCain and Palin for free. Mostly because they make asses of themselves every time they speak.
- SethEllis, on 10/09/2008, -10/+1Interesting how the tides turn. Obama could practically buy this election. Let's see who supports campaign finance reform now...
- n1eb, on 10/09/2008, -11/+2CBS is so in the tank for Obama I'm surprised they're not giving it to him for free.
- FlaG8r, on 10/09/2008, -1/+2Yes, everybody is the tank for Obama except Fox and the New York Post. The poor Republicans can't compete even with their fine record.
- dib2, on 10/09/2008, -7/+1Barack is soooooo monnnnneeeyyyy
- Insightful, on 10/09/2008, -0/+11Go ahead Republicans, keep on talking about Ayers while DOW crashes, houses foreclose, credit shrinks, etc. If I am not worried about you stealing the election I'd thank you for handing the election to us!
That One/That Other One - apastafarian, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5Hopefully, he'll drag the lies McCain and his little miss Bush are spouting out into the harsh daylight for all to see. This might be the first honest state of the nation speech we've seen in over 8 years.
- brainboy77, on 10/09/2008, -3/+2he's bought time on nbc and fox. in fox's case, it will show unless there is a world series game.
- scubaman5000, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6Once again, Obama is leading the way. Time for McCain/Palin to react once again.
- retzed, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4This probably won't swing any voters but it will reinforce the message to his followers that this election is paramount to the nation's future and there is no excuse not to vote the neo-cons out of office on November 4.
- groverblue, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1it's all about the undecided voters at this point.
- niradg, on 10/09/2008, -1/+7Dear Republicans, thank you for repealing the fairness doctrine. Now we will use our financial advantage to crush you like roaches you are.
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -2/+1The FCC repealed it on freedom of speech grounds.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine#End ...
Nice try to blame the Republicans. As you may know, the Democrats tried to reinstate it in 2005:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h109 ...
Of course, don't let facts get in the way of your ignorant rant. It never does stop the Left in their blind support of their beliefs.
- poprocksandsoda, on 10/10/2008, -2/+1The FCC repealed it on freedom of speech grounds.
- algaeturd, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6Wow. I bet McCain would try to match him if his campaign was still receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Must suck when very little of your contributions come from corporations and lobbyists rather than the American people.
Obama has run a classy, high level, masterful campaign. McCain has drooled on himself.- DeadFox1, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2well said, sir.
- paintgrl, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1HA HA you crack me up. And your right Obama is classy.
- Lhandroval, on 10/10/2008, -4/+1I have a hard enough time not changing channels for 1 minute long political ads. Who'd watch this?
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Hopefully people who are too lazy to change the channel e.g. Americans.
- paintgrl, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1I will watch, and have my need reinforced to vote. With fire burning in my belly to finally end the 8 year nightmare of bush and his Neo-con clowns, I will gleefully vote Obama.
- Lhandroval, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1Well, OTHER than die-hard Obama supporters.
- S5S5S5, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1What's 30 minutes when you have your own "The Obama Channel" ?
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/The_Ob ... - Bartboy919, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3You can't stop Barack!
http://cantstopbarack.ytmnd.com/ - LukasSmith, on 10/10/2008, -4/+1Yeah Barrack. He is going to buy his way into power.
Such a Rebel. not.
So he is going to buy 30 minute ads.
Can barely stand the 1 minute ones.
I wonder if his 30 minute ads will be any more honest then his 1 minute lies?- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Oh, like Bush Baby didn't buy his way into power?
And McCain, the son of an admiral -- no other bonehead who graduated at the bottom of his class would've been allowed to fly, much less allowed to crash 3 planes through sheer incompetence...
- LooseFur, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Oh, like Bush Baby didn't buy his way into power?
