Open Mics on MSNBC... 2 Conservatives Tell What They Think
talkingpointsmemo.com — It's Open Mic Day on MSNBC. WOW! (Some language here, so be careful) The voices are Mike Murphy (Republican political consultant) and Peggy Noonan with a little Chuck Todd. Noonan: "I think they went for the political bulls*** about narratives" and is she the most qualified? "no"

- superkendall, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1And every single Republican, especailly the ones who heard her speak.
I'm a libertarian who had been considering Barr, but I'm voting for McCain now on the off chance she might become president eventually. - akhomestead, on 09/04/2008, -0/+0You think democrat pundits tell the truth every time? Your better off looking at all of them like you would infomercials... they're getting paid to take a point of view even when they know it's BS. Kinda why the media sucks and it's time to turn the tv off.

- dlovinger, on 09/03/2008, -0/+2Open mics are dangerous things - people can hear what you really think.
- plimpton777, on 09/03/2008, -0/+4Peggy Noonan: "It's Over."
- psylent, on 09/03/2008, -0/+3And the next day Noonan wrote this:
Because she jumbles up so many cultural categories, because she is a feminist not in the Yale Gender Studies sense but the How Do I Reload This Thang way, because she is a woman who in style, history, moxie and femininity is exactly like a normal American feminist and not an Abstract Theory feminist; because she wears makeup and heels and eats mooseburgers and is Alaska Tough, as Time magazine put it; because she is conservative, and pro-2nd Amendment and pro-life; and because conservatives can smell this sort of thing -- who is really one of them and who is not -- and will fight to the death for one of their beleaguered own; because of all of this she is a real and present danger to the American left, and to the Obama candidacy.

How these people sleep at night I'll never know - mikeyeah, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1It's refreshing to hear pundits actually say what they really think instead of their usual partisan *****.
When I heard McCain picked Palin, I was pleasantly surprised. It's blatantly obvious why McCain/GOP picked her, and anyone who has a shred of intelligence won't be fooled by this insulting political tactic. Unless Diebold steals another election (see HBO's "Hacking Democracy"), it truly is over for McSame.
I don't know about you, but I cannot wait until I wake up and know that Bush is no longer in the White House. 1/20/09 can't come soon enough. - superkendall, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world.
