- wontstoptalking, on 06/03/2008, -1/+1I know others are probably wondering everything about the new iPhone.... but what I'm really wondering is what it'll be called. I know that's not exciting, but think about it. iPhone 2? iPhone 1.5? iPhone Take 2? I mean, if you are going to buy a case for you iPhone, the case companies need to be able to tell the customer which case is for the current one and which is for the one coming out soon. How will they do that? I mean, it's a little early to call it iPhone 2, because it's more of a bit of an upgrade (from what we've heard). Now, being Apple, they might even do something better than we are all expecting, something god-like, surprising us more than the original iPhone surprised us, giving reason to call it iPhone 2. But it's not really an iPhone 2 if they're just adding GPS and thinner or whatever, not to mention the App Store, which will be available to all the iPhones and iTouches anyway. Probably won't be called iPhone Take Two, because that's just an Apple TV thing. So I will remain curious....
My bet is still on iPhone 2, though I hope they find a way to make it a 2.0, a complete upgrade, in every way, instead of just "oh yeah we added a few things and now we're calling it the new iPhone".- nreynolds, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1they'll probably just call it iPhone.
- vault, on 06/03/2008, -0/+5No mention of new cinema displays...
I know the current ones still serve their purpose and all but the panel is old, no HDMI, no HDCP, etc. It's been a very long time since we've had a cinema display refresh.- Soragon, on 06/03/2008, -0/+3Also at cheaper prices would be good.
- vault, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1yah no kidding. I know it's an S-IPS panel as opposed to the TN panel you get on cheaper consumer displays, but there are still better and newer S-IPS panels they could be using in the same price range.
