- jmeskimen, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1Isn't the reason why the iPod touch's don't have SSD's because flash uses way less power than a SSD? Unless some new battery improvements have been made, I would highly doubt a SSD in the touch... the screen uses enough power as it is.
- andrewcsayer, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2shiny shiny new toys!
- superguysteve, on 01/08/2008, -1/+2Also expect smarmy ***** from Steve Jobs that suggest all of their products 'just work' and never have any problems.
- Topher06, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3All of those would be a huge dissapointments to many in my books. iPhone2? All those suckers that paid dearly for the original iPhone would probably expect another bribe from Apple for releasing something newer and cheaper (but really the same thing) less then a year later. I could see 2nd gen iPhones later in the summer or early Fall if Apple cares about early adopters at all.
The sub-notebook would be cool, but all we could expect is the same treatment Apple did with the Mac Mini, a mediocre performing and crippled notebook for the sake of calling it the thinnest notebook on the market. It would be small, thin, and underwhelming and will sell millions because of the novelty of it and the pretence that we need to finger our screens to get the job done (i.e. huge gimmick Apple is roling with big time in 2008).
Waiting for a bump in storage for the iPod Touch is the only reason why I don't own one. I don't want to buy a Nano with a touch screen. I want to replace my 30g 5th Gen iPod with at least 60gb. How about iPods that support HD video. I know the screens are not HD, but how about outputting iPod video through an HDMI. In fact, how about Apple enter the 21st century for TV technology and offer a product with HDMI that isn't the AppleTV. New notebooks/desktops with HDMI or iPod Docks with HDMI would be great.
Finally, a new revised (re cheaper) AppleTV would be good as the first one sucked. Its too expensive and lacks any real competitive features. The Xbox360 and PS3 make attractive alternatives to the AppleTV, and both are currently avaiable for only a little more money, no wonder Apple isn't selling a lot of AppleTV's. Even the Wii can be turned into a media streaming device and is cheaper then the AppleTV but does a lot more. - sourwood, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2How the ***** can you have 100% probability?
- dleifelohcs, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1The same things we "expect" every year....
