- billso, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Oh yes. The metal ones are clever... and they're coming, have no doubt about it.

For me, this would be breakdancing. - jemka, on 05/15/2008, -1/+226. Get your comment voted up.
- greenmason, on 05/15/2008, -1/+8Very dry material... *cough* very dry
- BabyHulk, on 05/15/2008, -7/+9i call spam!
- 97thfloor, on 05/15/2008, -0/+9Spam? It's Elance man they invented outsourcing. Kevin Rose hired the programmer from Elance to build Digg, http://digg.com/programming/Digg_com_created_for_o ...
- clogon, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4Not rocket science - but good things to be aware of - especially as you're growing a business and can't do it all by yourself very effectively.
- domfosnz, on 05/15/2008, -1/+7Dry or Spam ... is actually a good list for freelancers and self employed types.
- bradhart2, on 05/15/2008, -1/+7it doesn't have to be exciting to be worth reading.
- Odenized, on 05/15/2008, -0/+6I haven't heard of Elance until now, but I really love the information provided on this site. In this particular post, the five Social Networking projects were very helpful.
- thewordisberry, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4I wouldn't outsource your social networking because that defeats the entire point of social media, but some of the other tips are very helpful. Though, I question being so busy that I actually need a lot of these tips and services. ;) Is this just being efficient? Or...
- usgovterrorists, on 05/15/2008, -13/+4Anybody have a Virtual Assistant to EXPOSE the terrorist United States Government?
United States Government are terrorists, war criminals, and horrific liars.
Where's the evidence that kerosene fires melted steel?
How did the huge molten pools of metal get under the twin towers and building 7?
9-11 was an inside job! 9-11 official story was a lie! What happened to building 7?
Depleted uranium is a weapon of mass destruction!
Play Wall Street like a PONZI SCHEME!
The elections are rigged, unsecure voting machines & ballots!
Terrorist United States Government mandated a fivefold increase in the use of biofuels.- shauncorleone, on 05/15/2008, -0/+5And here I thought the crazies only came out at night.
- linagee, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2n+1) Outsource crazies to come out during the day
- usgovterrorists, on 05/15/2008, -3/+1What do you call a government that stages attacks against its citizens?
What do you call a government that invades Iraq on 1000 lies?
What do you call a government telling lies about Iran, so they can attack Iran next?
What do you call a government that deploys several thousand tons of weapons of mass destruction?
United States Government are terrorists, war criminals, and horrific liars.
The word terrorist just doesn't seem to do it justice.
The terrorist United States Government makes any so called terrorist look like a boyscout! - xkorbin, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Do you even know what a Ponzi scheme is? Or who Charles Ponzi is to begin with?
You're kind of nuts man.- usgovterrorists, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1What do you call a SIX TRILLION DOLLAR BUBBLE on WALL STREET?
You're kind of naive man!
- usgovterrorists, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1What do you call a SIX TRILLION DOLLAR BUBBLE on WALL STREET?
- benhollister, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1Why do all of the conspiracy theorists cling to "melted metal smoking gun"?
It's like you read on Wikipedia that steel doesn't melt at the temperature that jet fuel burns, and all of the sudden you're a structural engineer. You think that you're the first person to discover that, and that REAL engineers haven't looked at that scenario? There's a reason they are paid to do what they do, it's because THEY HAVE AN EDUCATION IN SAID FIELD.- usgovterrorists, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2REAL engineers are still waiting for the official explanation from the terrorist United States Government!
Do you have a point?
If you had the explanation, you could copy & paste the explanation & link!
Duh!- benhollister, on 05/19/2008, -0/+0http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/militar ...
It's a little garbled in the online version, but you might take a look at page 4 for the "melted steel" explanation from a UCSD prof. If you don't trust this as a good source, let me know where you get your news.

- tbhurst, on 05/15/2008, -1/+3Some useful tips here, thanks.
- JMnet, on 05/15/2008, -0/+12Just hired my VA to post this comment on DIGG for me.
- shauncorleone, on 05/15/2008, -1/+3Funny how every blog post from fourhourworkweek is chastised, when the book and blog preach using a VA for these types of things. Apparently the equations are "Anonymous numbered lists = success" and "Rampant success story = envy, jealousy, buried".
- breeder, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Yeah, it's not like elance helped Kevin Rose get this little project called DIGG going or anything. Do your research.
- Spoomeister, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Tim? Is that you?
- luckytalisman, on 05/15/2008, -0/+5What the article forgot to mention is that you should eat at least twice a day and drink liquids to stay hydrated.
- ClevelandBrown, on 05/15/2008, -1/+3Elance is pretty crappy, posted projects get cancelled often, or the same professionals get the jobs over and over.
- investment321, on 05/15/2008, -3/+0Time is not a constant. Time stops for the hero whenever he does something 'cool' or 'impressive'. Time slows down when friends and lovers are being killed and speeds up whenever there is a fight.
- Spoomeister, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1Apparently, judging from this article and sites like fourhourworkweek.com, using a VA this way frees up much more time to be a douchebag.
- Habil, on 05/15/2008, -1/+0I'm a member of both Guru.com and Elance. Sofar I've only used Guru.
But the article is interesting though, its only a matter of time before I start hiring VA's. - msflower97, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Dugg because I am looking for freelance work and I didn't know about Elance. Woot.
- klankford, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1I recommend creating an operations manual (or have your VA do it) so that these tasks can be passed along when you want to go from a VA to a regular employee. Hopefully a full staff!
- HiYaYa, on 05/18/2008, -0/+0Interesting article. Crazy all the stuff they outsource!!
We just do IT Outsourcing which is a bit more practical than some of the things in their list. - Freelancealot, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0I wonder why you'd go through Elance (or other agency) when you can just Google 'Virtual Assistant' and find one with the nous to create their own online presence. Why introduce a middle-man when one is not needed? Any VA that's been in business over five years is likely to be very good at what they do, otherwise they would have become a 'consultant', 'coach', or 'agency'.
