Constantly asking "How does this work?" is the healthiest attitude any kid can have while growing up.

      The difference between a 9 year-old and her is, the 9 year-old can ask these questions and actually spend the next 10 years learning about the answer... as well as answers to other cool phenomenon and not be ridiculed for not knowing them.

      *That's* what's really unfortunate about all this.

      I suspect that this 49 year-old woman would have the best time of her life learning, if she could go through junior-high and highschool all over again.

      Which makes me wonder, what was it that compelled her to not pay attention in junior-high and highschool the first time around.

      Let this be a lesson kids. Pay attention in school, even when you don't want to, or you'll grow to be an extremely confused person once you're middle-aged.

That room happens to have one of the main water pipes going through it. One day I see him walking in with what looks like a giant bag of skittles. I thought I was crazy, but now this all makes sense.

I worked at Radio Shack during college (late 80s) and most would be surprised at the number of people who are clearly educated and yet just off the f***ng rocker. You would see all sorts of tin-foil heads, who would come in and talk into calculators, would be buying components to make anti-government contraptions, and just other freaky behaviours. And most of these people were employed in some fashion carrying on some sort of independant existance.

      I worked at a number of stores in two different cities in two different regions of the country, and every single one had at least one regular nutjob that makes this woman look completely sane.
