        Living in phoenix, az - I like it, it's a change from the isolation, weather, and slow internet....

        I can sympathise with beautiful but unchanging etc etc, I grew up in the Scottish countryside which starts to get /very/ lonely not very far from the cities.

    • RusskiGuy, on 08/18/2008, -1/+1I remember my first PC (Pentium MMX 133!) had a 14.4kbps modem and I lived in Russia, where at the time Internet was only available on dialup and you had to purchase minutes. There was a monthly option, but it was about half of my mom's monthly pay as a nurse. It would take about $2 worth of time just to go to a search engine page, enter a query and click on a relevant site. Those were good times!
