        Uhh, actually they do. For every Apple product I can show you several others that are more fully-featured, open, and *cheaper*. Apple fanboys love Apple because they think owning a product by a certain company instills a sense of community in them. They think Apple is a social movement rather than a company. And that's exactly what Apple wants. In short, they're idiots being controlled by a corporation.

The Macbook isn't the most powerful laptop on the market by any means, but it is sleek and pretty stylish. Sure they could get a car that gets them from point A to point B for $15,000, but they want to go in style.

        God forbid a company should become so popular that people purchasing their products would be considered a 'social movement'. Sorry, but isn't that the IDEA of a business? I'd say they are doing a damn good job. In short, stop whining. Either get one and shut up, or just shut up.

        No. Never. And I spend plenty of time surfing, checking email, torrenting (is that a verb yet?), etc. I'm just not a ***** retard, I don't use IE, and I follow general safe practice. Yes, Windows is more susceptible to viruses, but if you're not a moron, you're fine.

        Oh, and here's a 3 step instruction for getting rid of 99.9% of malware from a Windows box:

        1) Boot into safe mode.
        2) Turn off System Restore
        3) Run your favorite free anti-virus / spyware removal tool (AVG, AdAware, Avast!)

        Or, bring it to some 15 year old at your local Best Buy and give him a couple hundred bucks.

        2) There is a right click on all Apple Mice now, granted their laptops don't have it, but Ctrl+Click works well enough for me.

        No, I'm not a Mac fanboy, I am writing this on a self-built XP SP3 box and I have a Fedora 9 laptop (my primary computer) sitting on my bed. However, I get sick of reading ignorance all day.

        One thing you should keep in mind about Apple is that they shoot for the 90%. 90% of users don't give a damn about Linux, 90% of users don't know how to truly use a computer, 90% of users don't want to care about the hardware they run, as long as things "work".

        (43% of all statistics are made up).

The point is this is the only reason Windows gets more viruses -- because a LOT more people use Windows over Macs and viruses are written to target the main population. It's NOT A result of "Macs being more secure" and I think all the security holes in Macs are evident of that.

They were the first to use a mouse. They first designed what is now the standard design for laptop computers. Hell, they literally created the personal computer industry.

      Its funny because Apple has indirectly influenced everybodys life, Apple haters included, and these idiots don't even realize it.

      If you can't see the innovation in the iPhone and how it has already changed mobile devices, you are truly a poor and blind fanboy.         answer: The iPod. ...That's when people actually started caring about Apple on a large scale. Not to say they didn't do anything of usefulness prior...

        Here's the thing about the iPhone though; It looks ***** sweet. Its UI is unmatched. Say what you want, send me your links to the Nokia N's, the ***** ***** HTC's, the Instinct, whatever. The iPhone's UI trumps all of them, without blinking.

        That's been the plan from the beginning. That's why there's been so much hype about it. Touchscreen, multi-touch, 3rd party apps, accelerometer, and it sounds like "iPod", which seems to me has been a fairly successful product.

        So, when people complain about all of the other features it lacks (such as cut and paste, mms, video recording, expandable memory, exchangeable batteries / battery life), I think they're legitimate complaints. There are many other phones which, all said and done, are much more feature packed, cost-effective, open, etc. than the iPhone. But I don't think that's really the point. If people wanted a phone with all those extras, they'd get one. And some do. Others like the multi-touch sweetness of the iPhone. In my opinion, it looks and feels (and makes you feel) bad-*****-ass.

        So get what suits you.

      I'm no fanboy, but it is (now) a solid piece of hardware + software, Apple has overcome a lot of my major problems with it so far.

      Also, as far as I'm concerned MMS can suck my foot – it's absolute highway robbery.

I'd rather use email instead for sending photos, but even that's fundamentally broken - usually impractical to enable push email alerts on mobile devices because spam hasn't been dealt with effectively yet.
