Plus it's old, i saw this a couple years ago.
Another thing making this lame?
You got it. The store clerk would have been shot, had this been real. Look at how long the perps gun is literally waving in front of the clerk while the dog is biting him.
Buried. - longbow486, on 08/24/2008, -0/+2and who in their right ***** mind robs a store that has guns on the wall behind the counter?

notice the fullauto weapons in the background- Mononuclear, on 08/24/2008, -1/+81I was going to say. A gun store is the last place you want to rob. Usually every single employee is carrying plus they probably have a few stashed in some drawers. The displays on the wall of course aren't loaded and won't do you any good but every time I have been to a gun store every single employee is carrying one that is loaded.
I am thinking this is fake. No one would reach clear across the counter like that. It was like he was trying to punch the guy with the gun.- dpknc84, on 08/24/2008, -0/+8"No one would reach clear across the counter like that."

- Infekted, on 08/24/2008, -15/+3Are you for real!?
- lostngone, on 08/24/2008, -9/+7Yes, answer my question... Do you even know the difference between semi-automatic and fully-automatic???
- Mononuclear, on 08/24/2008, -0/+15chances are they are semi-auto since you can't own fully auto weapons made after 1986. You can buy semi auto versions of popular fully auto weapons. You can't tell just from a picture if they are semi or fully auto. Just because it looks like an AR 15, UMP, or MP5 doesn't mean it's automatic.
- wrzhydr, on 08/24/2008, -4/+12doesn't matter if its full auto or semi auto. they kill you just the same.
- Infekted, on 08/24/2008, -21/+1Lets see... MP5, M16 and AK-47 - are these rifles semi-automatic to you?
if they are, then your more dumber than i think. - Acqua206, on 08/24/2008, -2/+17Infekted, you're stupid. I figure you probably don't own/or shoot guns. The M-16 that you're so familiar with in COD4 is probably just an AR Variant. As far as AK-47's go, almost all the ones you see at gun shops are in fact, semi automatic. Go look for some AK-47's online for sale. They go for around $300 and are most definitely semi auto. As Mononuclear mentioned, you can't own automatic weapons after 1986 unless you have a permit issued by the ATF. Word is that those permits cost a couple thousand dollars and that the background check in order to get one is extensive. You will not find any kind of legal automatic weapon that costs $300. I think the ballpark is $5k at least, probably more like $8k to $10k. The value of automatic weapons have gone up dramatically since the ban.
-Prior Service and gun owner - Mononuclear, on 08/24/2008, -0/+6Acqua. You are close. You need an ATF permit to own ones made before 1986. It's a $200 transfer tax. A civilian can not own one made after 1986 under any condition.
Infekted yes all those rifles sold to civilians are semi-automatic models. I have a semi-auto version of the UMP (it's called a USC). If you are law enforcement or military then they would fully automatic but they don't sell those in stores on display shelves. - emezeske, on 08/24/2008, -0/+4MP5, M16 and AK-47: If they're on the wall at a gun shop, they're most likely semi auto.
Besides, that's probably an AR-15, not an M16. - normalizer, on 08/24/2008, -1/+6Sorry - civilians can own full auto weapons, made before and after 1986. If made before the 1986 ban then there's the class 3 "license", really just a tax stamp. If post ban then you have to have the actual class 3 LICENSE, which is for those who manufacture or sell post ban items to others. The gun store that sells the post ban weapon to your police department owns the guns before they are sold, and that gun store is most likely owned by civilians.
Trust me on this one... I'm a postal worker.
- SpamBurger, on 08/24/2008, -1/+22Look like Airsoft to me.
- SonicPanda, on 08/24/2008, -4/+31. There is a ban on all fully automatic weapons in the united states not registered before 1986.
If that is not in the U.S.
2. What idiot would leave fully automatic weapons uncased and just sitting where anybody could grab them?
I agree with spamburger, it's airsoft.- klasikahl, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1You'd be surprised. Gun stores here in Arizona (I have one Scottsdale shop in particular in mind) put fully autos on the wall with no trigger locks and no casing. Like previous commenters have said, every employee working in a gun store is packing. Mostly cocked and locked 1911s with JHPs - these aren't folks you'd likely try to rob.
- unreg, on 08/24/2008, -1/+4Klasikahl:
No gun store is going to display full autos simply for the fact they can't be sold.
Kind of negates any credibility you had going............ - klasikahl, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1unreg.... You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Do some research about acquiring fully automatic weapons. In Arizona, there are no restrictions on class 3 weapons besides the federal laws. That basically means that you can buy the weapon as an individual or as a legal entity such as a trust or LLC.
If you buy the weapon as an individual, you need to fill out paperwork, have your local sheriff sign off on your purchase, extensive background checks, tax stamps, fingerprinting; the whole nine yards, basically.
If you buy the weapon as a trust or LLC, you merely need to create the entity, buy the tax stamp, submit paperwork saying the entity owns the weapon, and fork over the $8k-$30k price tag depending on the rareness of the weapon.
Your state may restrict class 3 weapons (otherwise known as NFA weapons) beyond the federal laws, but I assure you that it is quite possible for a civilian to posses several NFA guns and accessories (such as a silencer and flashbang).
- pcgeek101, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1Uh, they could be paintball guns or something.
- MagicIcarus, on 08/24/2008, -1/+2Fully automatic weapons cost somewhere around $15,000 + and you have to have a signed letter from the chief of police in your jurisdiction just to own one. These are not fully auto. A fully auto weapon looks just like a semi auto most of the time. To assume the guy has 100k plus in weapons on the wall is absurd, and most likely completely wrong.
- Shiftgood, on 08/24/2008, -2/+1hmmm... i guess guns dont stop guns. so the theory if you had a gun no one would try to rob you is wrong.
dogs on the other hand..

- imnojezus, on 08/24/2008, -0/+24Yeah, there is a distinct aroma of ***** coming off this one.
- haikuFU, on 08/24/2008, -0/+4It looks like he was wearing a bite sleeve under that jacket. Look how thick the sleeve is, it's huge. A bite sleeve is usually leather and plastic, covered with a jute or french linen cover to give the dog something to bite into. The guy behind the counter didn't even jump when he pulled the gun either.
This looks more like a promo video for Protection Sport America to me. I do PSA with my GSD, but I see a lot of guys with Presa's and Pits out there also. Presa's are just ridiculously awesome when it comes to PSA.- xaxxon, on 08/24/2008, -2/+1What is PSA? I'm guessing it's not Public Service Announcement
- skyroket, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1A quick Google leads us to http://www.psak9.org/
The Mission of the Protection Sports Association (PSA) is to provide an outlet for civilian competition in canine obedience and controlled protection, and to recognize achievement with titles and prizes, and promote competition with club trials and championship tournaments. PSA will endeavor to set a new standard for training excellence in the protection sports, and PSA shall encourage cross-over from other protection sports, to provide a competitive venue that will test the best against the best, and encourage excellence, sportsmanship, and integrity throughout the dog training community.
A quick acronymfinder for GSD leads us to http://www.acronymfinder.com/GSD.html that says German Shepard Dog. Perhaps used in competition at the PSA.
A quick Google for "presa" leads us to one badass looking dog that appears to be called Perro de Presa Canario, which appears to mean "Canarian Dog of Prey" since it is from the Canary islands.
A quick Youtube for "presa psa" leads to some pretty badass *****. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=presa+ ...
Please forgive us newbies, haikuFU.
- reparsed, on 08/24/2008, -0/+9The POV of the camera seems odd, a lot lower that what you'd expect for a security camera.
- djbittner, on 08/24/2008, -1/+6The first thing that I thought of was Liability. Can you imagine if a random customer leaned over to far the dog was a bit over protective?
This seems a bit over the top. - aguita, on 08/24/2008, -0/+6The arm on the jacket is ripped even before the dog attacks, from multiple takes.
- Loonacy, on 08/24/2008, -0/+6Not to mention if you have a gun in your hand and a dog bites down on your arm unexpectedly, wouldn't you immediately pull the trigger?
- robmcm, on 08/24/2008, -0/+3I thought that, not very safe!
Also you can see the cashier look at the dog as the man approaches, but the counter starting at 0 seals it!
- robmcm, on 08/24/2008, -0/+3I thought that, not very safe!
- MasterPain, on 08/24/2008, -0/+3Ya after watching it again it does look fake. Also it would be bad to work at a gun store with a dog that attacked customer with guns. It would be like" Look at my gun what kinda laser sight do I need? Oh my god my, hand why did he do that !"
- mentor972, on 08/25/2008, -0/+3The video also has fake "scan lines" going through the unusually high quality video and timecode which is obviously generated.

- Leekzor, on 08/24/2008, -11/+1Why was the dog in the store?
- Chairboy, on 08/24/2008, -8/+8Why are _you_ on the net?
- pianonotes1010, on 08/24/2008, -5/+10I'm all for the dog attacking the robber, however, god forbid if you're a customer and reach over the counter towards the clerk for whatever reason. You're *****. Not to mention, you'll suddenly come into possession of a store and a lot of money.
- spartarising, on 08/24/2008, -0/+0Dogs are very sensitive to threatening tones against their masters, especially trained german shepherds.
- Shirleycakes, on 08/24/2008, -3/+46Awesome concept, but it looks fake.
- SexPython, on 08/24/2008, -3/+45Because when you run a gun store, you have dogs, not guns under the counter.........
- Inohavehalos, on 08/24/2008, -1/+24Fairwarning to digg: Don't rob pet shops. This rule applies inversely here.
- biggerapple3am, on 08/24/2008, -0/+3I keep a dog under my bed at all times.
- retral, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1In soviet russia, gun shops use dogs for protection.
- matters5, on 08/24/2008, -6/+2That was awesomely effective.
- carogamer82, on 08/24/2008, -7/+0Up next on america's dumbest criminals... When stupid people try to rob a gun store. What was he thinkin, even if he got a way that man could've chased him down with somethin more powerful than that pitiful handgun.
- Ogrestud, on 08/24/2008, -3/+51Sad to say... FAKE, if you stop the video right as the dog attacks, the "Robbers" Jacket has a tear in it right where the dog bites. Multiple takes maybe? You throw the Dog over the counter, then just take a deep breathe?
- megaton, on 08/24/2008, -11/+3"breath"
Do you go for a long drove? Do you have a nice swam? Did you have a nice *****? Er, well..."*****" fits pretty much anywhere...- dropbox, on 08/24/2008, -4/+2Grammar Nazi surfaces once again, dun dun duuun.
- biggerapple3am, on 08/24/2008, -6/+2"Breathe" isn't the past tense of "breath" you colossal *****.
- ptemple, on 08/24/2008, -1/+1You could be a bit more constructive, and point out that breath is a noun whilst breathe is a verb. Plus it could have been a typo rather than ignorance.
Phillip.
- hotpuck6, on 08/24/2008, -0/+4totally, the time stamp in the corner starts at zero too, so there's a dead giveaway.
- megaton, on 08/24/2008, -11/+3"breath"
- lestyoubejudged, on 08/24/2008, -5/+2Awesome idea! I want one!
- scottypimpn, on 08/24/2008, -6/+2u can see the guy with the gun reach down b4 the dog even comes out
- Wolfie351, on 08/24/2008, -3/+28Looked like the robber was trying to stab him with the gun. Very awkward movements, I say...Fake
- mrsammercer, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1Upon second viewing, it seems as though the robber was actually waiting for the dog to bite his arm when he stuck it out there. And someone above pointed out the timer starting on "00:00:00". Its fake as hell.
- chubbybubba, on 08/24/2008, -7/+1I'm surprised the employee didn't get shot. It leads me to believe this may not be real. If you are holding your piece and someone grabs at your wrist (a dog in this case of course), your first instinct would be to pull the trigger or your finger would pull automatically (especially if you were already preparing to fire). The fact the gun didnt go off means it wasn't loaded or the video is fake.
- bonlebon, on 08/24/2008, -8/+2Was that a dog-in-the-box or a *****-the-thug?
- MadOgre, on 08/24/2008, -3/+30Fake or not - Big Dogs Kick Ass.
- Willow01, on 08/24/2008, -2/+5Now what was said was Chopper sick him boy, but what I heard was Chopper sick balls.

- suwoo244, on 08/24/2008, -7/+11FAKE
- ryanonfire, on 08/24/2008, -1/+4What is this a viral for?
- je12u, on 08/24/2008, -0/+5it's not a viral...it's clearly a 7-11 new employee training video.
- thegrantman, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1No,it's not. He didn't say "Thank-you,come again".
- neftaly, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1My money's on a viral for attack dogs.
- je12u, on 08/24/2008, -0/+5it's not a viral...it's clearly a 7-11 new employee training video.
- kconnors, on 08/24/2008, -3/+1Too bad scumbag
- webkiwi, on 08/24/2008, -2/+3Sorry, but I have never been into a gun store where the ownerssales people were not carrying a side arm...this is totally fake
- handheldchimp, on 08/24/2008, -11/+5Bury me. I hate you.

- je12u, on 08/24/2008, -2/+1now that's two ways on Digg that shows how "drawing" dogs can solve problems
- Waredgo, on 08/24/2008, -2/+5Aw, who cares if it was fake. The dog wasn't faking it! Awesome demonstration nonetheless.
- djbittner, on 08/24/2008, -4/+2The first thing that I thought of was "Liability!". Can you imagine if a random customer leaned over to far the dog was a bit over protective?
This seems a bit over the top. - geekymonkey, on 08/24/2008, -2/+24The video starts at 00:00 among other things. Definitely fake.
- DigitAl56K, on 08/24/2008, -0/+8Yes, and do security cameras come with "security camera effect" built in now? I.e. greyscale plus light and dark horizontal bands nicely spaced all down the picture.
- Torx, on 08/24/2008, -2/+2Man's best friend.
- DismantleRepair, on 08/24/2008, -4/+8Buried for fake.
- sunsetprojects, on 08/24/2008, -1/+5From the creator of trunk monkey comes trunk puppy
- iamsmooth, on 08/24/2008, -6/+5If this is real, then it's awesome.
Further proof that dogs > cats. - buckrogers1965, on 08/24/2008, -2/+18Dugg down, I was hoping for a midget with a bat.
- DeFex, on 08/24/2008, -4/+10this is bogus the timer starts at 00.00.00
