- digg it
- iching, on 10/15/2007, -75/+8It looks like it is Scandiavian design and maybe also located in either Denmark or Sweden.
But then again it could be Dutch.- Ventolin, on 10/15/2007, -3/+177Quite so quite so. *puffs his pipe*
- dclowd9901, on 10/10/2007, -28/+6By george! I think he's got it! *wipes ass with $100 bill*

- dclowd9901, on 10/10/2007, -28/+6By george! I think he's got it! *wipes ass with $100 bill*
- lordmetroid, on 10/10/2007, -12/+5Think I spotted it in Denmark.
- jspegele, on 10/12/2007, -3/+113Looks like Spanish design to me, but then again, I cheated. I read the text right under the photo that says: "Valencia"
- TheInfamousOne, on 10/10/2007, -1/+31Good catch, it takes a good eye to tell the difference. Looking at it from my view, I'd also say its from somewhere near water.
- schweeet, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5The pictures seem to indicate that they are from Valencia (Spain).
- tmbrwolf19, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Its based on a lanteen rig. Its a design native to the Mediterranean, so it would make sense if it was in Spain. On side note, lanteen rigs were favoured by pirates and corsairs due to their speed and ability to sail close to the wind (close to the direction it was coming from that is).
Either way, that is damn cool... and makes me wanna go play in it. - bassman12593, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2and how could you possibly be inferring that just by looking at the picture? besides, in the background, there's a beach, last time i checked, beaches in denmark/scandinavia didn't look like That
- MonarchWastxD, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Actually you can get beaches like that up north (they look nice but they are hella cold) so please don't act as stupid as you write please. Natural erosion controls the look of most beaches, not everyone likes a super hot beach (otherwise there'd be no blackpool) you are generalising all times, using the word inferring entirely wrong... Capitalising the last word instead of the first and trying to be patronising.
- bassman12593, on 11/18/2007, -0/+1Hey, he still got dugg down more than I did.

That boat is actually made out of ice, or Pykrete actually. which is just ice and sawdust.- hobbers, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That's not a boat. It's an ice cube. That looks like a boat.
- Herostratos, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Brilliantly observed!
- waspbr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0and the oscar for stating the obvious goes to...

- pushmouse, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27It floats on land.
- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -7/+1It's not very practical. How can it even be called a boat?
- thexder, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10only if it weighs as much as a duck
- hhhmethu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I'll use my greatest scale!
- IllBeBack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You don't see it sinkin' do ya? It must float then.

Just don't try sailing it to the Caribbean or any other tropical locations...- ohstoopid1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20Funny enough, this was thought of during WWII. Only to find it was obviously not feasible.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Habbakuk- hove, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I beg you don't click that link, you will be in wikipedia for hours.
- SigmundDali, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0I'm sorry, you mispelled iceberg. It's actually spelled "water" Snarkalicious.
- ohstoopid1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20Funny enough, this was thought of during WWII. Only to find it was obviously not feasible.
- mydigga, on 10/10/2007, -7/+5and that's exactly what you got
- acarr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2no. there was a bit of metal involved there.

- FreakyD, on 10/12/2007, -34/+8Someone want to tell me what the ***** the point of that is?
- RuckusNutz, on 10/10/2007, -7/+8They call it art. I agree that it is absolutely pointless.
- pixelmixer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Does everything have to have a point? Why are you here? Why do you exist? What is the point of you? no-one knows anyhow, we're all pointless, therefore the pointless must boat fit seamlessly with reality. ;p
- FreakyD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I'm here to piss of Doormat (a fellow digger) that's why i am on this earth

- AriaStar, on 10/11/2007, -3/+44I expected something ice that would actually float, not a liquid "sculpture."

- TheAstronomer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Boat covered in water
http://growabrain.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized ...- bassman12593, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1no, thats ice.
still cool though, closer to a boat made out of water than the crappy water fountain up there ^
- bassman12593, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1no, thats ice.
- Blueee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0you know, they actually proposed a boat made of a composite of water and saw dust. It was supposedly approximately 15 times stronger than ice and retained the properties of ice that caused it to become stronger as the substance got colder. it's cost projection was too high though and the coolant systems to tedious, expensive and inefficient.
It was proposed during World War II also... - CocodaMonkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0If it makes you feel better there are such things as ice ships. There is one currently up in Jasper, Alberta, Canada. It was a prototype ship meant to be used up north where it never went above freezing. It's kinda run down now because the idea never caught on and the project was abondoned. It's actually been sunken but people still go scuba dive it all the time. I'm sure if someone looked you could find pictures of it well it was still above water.
