Pac-Man Supercontinent Ate Itself to Pieces
environment.newscientist.com — The Pangaea supercontinent may have torn itself apart as it stretched to close up a gap occupied by an ancient ocean.

- lucy22, on 07/06/2008, -4/+25I Play civ. game and the panagea continent is the hardest to play, it is more interesting when the continents break apart. So, for my game's sake, I am glad it broke up. Plus, can you imagine all of us living together under one gigantic continent?!
- LewP, on 07/06/2008, -4/+4You better be careful Arnold, people will see the title to this article and get mad it isn't a game.
- koalagirl, on 07/07/2008, -4/+3Interesting! I love reading about stuff like this.
- SlaunchaMan, on 07/08/2008, -7/+3Well, it has nothing to do with Pac-Man, and the article is kind of dumb, but man is that comment thread funny.

- CheeseNRice, on 07/08/2008, -8/+2Nice repeat, or can you just not read? It's not like the first one got lost since you can see it right up there ^. Plus... not sure how, but you managed to spell "NOM" wrong...
- SolidBones, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2I think it was intentionally spelled "OM"
- CheeseNRice, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1Oh, was that his shot at originality?
- catcher6250, on 07/08/2008, -2/+1The more noms the better imo.

- serif69, on 07/08/2008, -4/+2You mean to tell me that Pangaea broke up into separate continents? Surely you jest!
- slifty, on 07/08/2008, -1/+4Yeah I couldn't believe it either when I read about it in Entertainment Weekly. I thought that relationship was rock solid.

- Densetsu, on 07/08/2008, -2/+2Wasn't this on the front page two days ago? And no, not a dupe, but this same entry?
- adogg06, on 07/08/2008, -2/+4Seriously - is there anyone intelligent left on digg? The comments overall have sunk to new lows lately. Its a bunch of adolescent fanboys trying to beat each other to the most recent catchphrase. Reddit ftw
- CheeseNRice, on 07/08/2008, -0/+5I have to agree.. I was hoping for some actual conversation about the different theories on plate tectonics and maybe the expanding earth theories. They had them on the original page but I suppose I was wrong to think Digg would be able to create such an environment. This place might as well be myspace with all the recycled and pointless comments and popularity contests. Pretty sad.
- newwildlife, on 07/08/2008, -3/+0What do you expect? It IS the internet!

- sTiVo, on 07/08/2008, -0/+5And....this thread is exactly why Digg needs an "age" filter. I prefer to see comments only from ppl over the age of 15.
- Berkana, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Pangea may not have been geologically possible if these observations are correct. Perhaps the plates fit together differently?:
http://www.continuitystudios.net/pangea.html - Ortheos, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Pity it would have been cool to live on one world-wide continent. Wars would be so much more frequent as civilization series of games has taught me.
- jepizacar, on 08/07/2008, -0/+0nice resource....
