- Kamelia28, on 10/08/2008, -3/+19This is a very touching video!
- moviscop, on 10/08/2008, -14/+9am i the only one who is not believing this global warming *****?
- wariscrime, on 10/08/2008, -3/+4No, you're not the only one. I'm surprised so many brainwashed folks thumbed your comment down. Global warming caused by human activity is the same kind of scam as "war on terror" and "Saddam has a bomb".
- jpuda, on 10/08/2008, -3/+1Where are you getting your sources from for this argument? I would love to hear some factual evidence behind your opinion. Educate yourself.
Wikipedia Terminology of Global Warming -
The term "global warming" refers to increase in the Instrumental temperature record due mostly to Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) caused primarily by HUMAN ACTIVITIES.[clarify][11] The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) uses the term "climate change" for human-caused change, and "climate variability" for other changes..[12] The use of the term "climate change" includes not only measurements of temperature changes, but also changes in precipitation or wind patterns, lasting over an extended time period.[13] The term "anthropogenic global warming" refers to contributions to global warming that are caused by human activity.

- CaptainPlanet, on 10/08/2008, -1/+4sad indeed, but a good call to action!
And it is not racist like that video of a crying native american from the 80's, ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7OHG7tHrNM ). Kudos to everyone involved. - stephhicks68, on 10/08/2008, -1/+3Very sad!
- bam359, on 10/08/2008, -4/+3I am not a doctor, when I am sick I see an expert.
I am not a mechanic, when my car doesn't work I see an expert.
I am not an accountant, when I am worried about my finances, I see an expert.
I am not a scientist, but I trust the scientific consensus that global warming is real, and caused by us. Each and everyone of us. It is therefore up to each and everyone of us to do what we can to avert, if possible, the environmental crisis that can be seen on the horizon. If the current financial mess can teach us anything it is that pretending that the worst can't, or won't happen just makes the mess harder to clean up. When it comes to the environment, however, no bail out is possible.
Even if global warming was the only reason to invest in "greener" technology, it should be enough to spur the world to action, but it isn't the only reason.
Think of cleaner air, that doesn't stink, and doesn't make you sick.
Think of energy independence, no longer spending billions of dollars on middle-eastern oil funding corrupt regimes,
and possible terrorists.
Think of the jobs created in manufacturing, construction, and maintenance of the new green infrastructure: wind turbines, hydro-electric damns, solar panels, nuclear power plants, geothermal systems, better cars/buses/trains/planes - many of which cannot be outsourced.
I don't know which way the American election will go, which is why I am watching it with great interest. The election here at home in Canada seems to be headed towards another Conservative minority, and another few years of inaction. If you are Canadian and you are reading this, election day is next Tuesday the 14th, find out what is going on in your constituency, and vote for ANYONE who has a chance of beating a Tory.

- redcolumbine, on 10/08/2008, -2/+1Whoa.
- Observant1, on 10/08/2008, -1/+5Al Gore touring the world with the Rothschild whelp trying to whip up a frenzy of panic so they can instigate a global carbon tax on the air we breath, polluting all the way doing so..
PURE BS!
I'm looking at a long COLD winter this year, how the hell was the polar caps on MARS shrinking? were people driving their SUV's allover MARS? get a clue people.
pollution IS a problem yes, but this fear mongering "global warming" carbon tax BS has already been exposed as fraudulent, so the "lawmakers" snuck the carbon tax crap in with these big bank bailouts!! think about it, then research it more for yourself.
buried as inaccurate, buried for being the high budget computer animated propaganda brainwash that it really IS. - jonnyboy1544, on 10/08/2008, -0/+2Hmm I wonder if all the seals and walruses feel the same away about the suicidal polar bears... probably not.
- Turambar, on 10/08/2008, -0/+3Wow, I actually found that pretty funny.
I spend way too much time on /b/ - lumpking69, on 10/08/2008, -0/+3poor chimp, if only he planted a seed or two instead of making a noose...
- wewa, on 10/08/2008, -0/+3Too dark.
Conceptually. - jdduran, on 10/08/2008, -0/+3These animals need a Zoloft or two.
- Jakerzon, on 10/08/2008, -3/+1Almost every article I read on digg coming from "Environmental" is this crap about global warming. If you do some deeper research and stop listening to the emotionally driven propaganda, you'll come to the realization that human activity has such minimal impact on the environment.
- skidme, on 10/08/2008, -1/+1Tell that to Cleopatra's needle that stood for for millenia in Egypt, but dissolved in New York in 90 years from acid rain.
- Jakerzon, on 10/08/2008, -0/+2I should have said: human activity has such minimal impact on the atmosphere.
- Catspaw, on 10/09/2008, -1/+2How can humans stop global warming? I thought it was the sun's activity that causes it. Even the most fundamental assumption of the theory of man-made global warming – that carbon dioxide causes the temperature to get higher – is not supported by the evidence! Contradicting Gore’s claim that, “when there is more carbon dioxide, the temperature gets warmer,” ice core data shows that as the temperature rises, the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide follows, with a lag of about 800 years.
