The Morning After: Apple might be making its own AirTag-sized AI wearable

Apple is reportedly developing a wearable AI pin, a small device with multiple cameras, a speaker, microphones, and wireless charging. It's speculated to pair with an AI-powered Siri update, but the concept raises questions about its necessity and practicality, especially given Apple's existing devices like the iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch that already offer similar functionalities. The idea of an AI pin also brings up concerns about privacy and surveillance, as it would be a constant, visible device. Despite these concerns, Apple's move into AI hardware seems driven by a desire to keep up with competitors like Meta and Google, who are also exploring AI-integrated devices.
